It was also because of some immediately impactful free agent signings and 2011 draft class.

I hate Baalke as much as the rest of you but he did have a solid 2011 offseason short term wise, signing Moss & Manningham were decent too, but things went downhill for him fast after the team failed to get Peyton Manning
