Wonder if it was him overruling the scouting department or were they just complete ass also?

It's likely a combination of the two he didn't really even draft for fit most of the time. It was reported he didn't consult with the coaches in regards to prospects to draft and I believe that because there's no way anyone can draft so many injured players and as a coach you're ok with it. Dude was an insecure egomaniac and felt he was always right(LOL) I couldn't be happier that his ass got fired he urinated all over the legacy of the 49ers

These words jumped out at me, remember he would always trade this years pick, for more next year, then he would roll them over again. I kept waiting for some brilliant move, but it never came. His insecurity kept him from making that move, or even drafting players, he felt safer rolling it over to next year.

This thread exists as an experiment, the idea being as the "Baallkie" levels fall, the team improves. We must keep this thread until the last Baaaallkie player is gone, at some point we will see the correlation between success, and Baaaalkie.

The action of inaction method.
"Honestly, Jim Harbaugh was trying to do basically everything in his power to get the deal done to make me stay," Walker said on a conference call Tuesday. "But I don't think the (general manager) had the same picture as Jim Harbaugh at that time. So I realized it was time for me to go somewhere else and show everybody how good I can be at the No. 1 spot, and that's what I've been doing so far."

We lost his speed, then Ginn's speed, and Baalke never replaced them with good quality pass catchers that had speed. (example: Vance McDonald) When your GM doesn't share the Head Coach's vision - it should be the Head Coach's vision that overrules the GM's vision. The GM doesn't coach, and put the scheme in. I have no clue what Baalke was thinking in trying to draft *his* players for a coach who's vision he didn't share. This was one of the darkest moments in 49er history.

The resident experts need to be reminded.

Yup the "media driven narrative" still lives on...

There's still some resilient media loyalists that need reminders from time to time. They are still too busy trying to rewrite history instead of accepting it and moving on.

How many years we had to hear that

"San Francisco 49ers: Jimmie Ward, Arik Armstead And The Need For A Roster Purge"

"The second training camp of the John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan era has looked much different for the San Francisco 49ers. These two have firmly put their imprint on the roster, with less than three handfuls of leftovers from the Trent Baalke regime remaining in Santa Clara."

We focus on these three players individually, as we should. But it's about a lot more than that. We'll have a 53-man roster projection at some point over the next several days. But as of now, San Francisco will likely break camp with players this regime has acquired in the past 17 months accounting for well north of 40 roster spots.

It's a clear indication that San Francisco has taken that long-term rebuild and turned it on its head. Heading into the 2018 season, this team has serious playoff expectations. Why risk that by kicking the tires on three players from the failed old regime who simply don't seem like fits?

Purge, indeed."

BTW, Phoenix about to copy/paste his daily Wu-response to moving this topic back to your Harbaugh thread.

Only hand full of Baalke picks left on the roster. Should let it go like his picks.
