Totally agree.Originally posted by Wu-5Rings:"More specifically, Gagnon referred to Baalke's promotion from scout to Vice President of Player Personnel in 2010 and, a year later, GM.
Here's what Gagnon had to say on the selection:
Sure, the 49ers became a contender soon after Baalke took over, but they were already ascending with players Baalke inherited such as Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree and Dashon Goldson.
Only three of the 68 other players Baalke drafted from 2010 to 2016 became Pro Bowlers, and one of those was flameout Aldon Smith (taken four spots ahead of J.J. Watt in 2011). Baalke drafted bust after bust in Round 1 (Anthony Davis, A.J. Jenkins, Jimmie Ward and Arik Armstead, and the jury's still out on Joshua Garnett and DeForest Buckner), he foolishly let Delanie Walker walk, and he continually employed players with questionable reputations off the field."

Like I said.. He inherited a roster and lived off of Scott.. You cannot tell me or convince me giving your coach s**t won't affect us in contention or Super Bowl... f**k IM SURPRISED WE GOT THERE 3 TIMES!!! HOLY s**t that's anemic and pathetic..
No Coach has had success with Baalke.. I give credit to Scott and Jim... Well deserved credit..
We wore those horses to the ground and provided no bench...
Sad, my PTSD just got worse.. Who was he that we let him draft 6 years of this??

How many times you suspended me because I was stating it how it is? It wasn't that far fetched after all. A month suspension for speaking the truth..
Baalke and Steve Kerr convinced Jed they could do Harbaugh's job.. Conspiring for a job during Super Bowl contention.. The job was too big for Steve kerrs britches...
Imagine if they would have helped him instead of conspiring for his job.. We probably would have 7 right now.
Self-inflicted wounds can be deadly..
Dude it wasn't what you were saying. It was the way you said it.

Balke is a schmuck. But when Delaney walk no one cared. Vern was still our all World blocking tight end in harbs power running scheme. Vern had drops Delaney had drops. Our salary cap was tight. When delaney sigbed with tennessee no one curr
Truth was neither baalke nor harbs was a long-term solution. Both leeched from scott roster with four hall of famers on it pat frank justin joe.
Baalke never learned from his draft mistakes and harbs couldn't manage a pro set offense.buh bye losers.
I'm glad we've moved on from both of them.

Agreed. Walker had bad dropsies for us. He would pull on a breathtaking catch one play then drop a simple one on the next play. Had we kept Walker instead of Davis there would have been a riot.

Walker at the time of fa wasn't that good. He had drops and Vernon was way better. No way we could of matched the titans offer for a player that's solid at best at the time. This one is not on balke unlike the many other things that was solely on him

Ward is gone next year and unless Arik has a very good year he's gone too. Actually even if he has a good year we have Taylor not to mention day who could easily be an upgrade. Not to mention we probably don't want to pay him 8-10 mil a year if that's what he is worth

Yeah, Burbridge is already gone. Celek should be gone next year. Blair might be gone depending on AA, Taylor and Street coming back. Ward should not be on this roster.
The final 7 are at least quality starters or special teams role players/starters.
Baalke:
WR Aaron Burbridge
CB Jimmie Ward
DL Ronald Blair III
TE Garrett Celek
Left:
DL Arik Armstead - 50/50
DL DeForest Buckner
OL Joshua Garnett
RB Raheem Mostert
S Jaquiski Tartt
ST Bradley Pinion
ST Kyle Nelson

I think Blair sticks he is our best edge rusher imo. Mostert is valuable but he will always be on the bubble. AA will be gone bc we have Taylor and street and day unless he balls out but we aren't paying him what another s**tty team will pay him as a fa next year

oh really? I bet that almost every player on any team is replaceable as well...Originally posted by FL9er:All of those players are replaceable save Staley and Buckner.
imho, anyone but a franchise qb and perhaps a franchise left tackle is replaceable.
