- Mike Davis now

The culling continues....
Interesting thread. Here's how it stands after the Mike Davis cut it's Shanny/Lynch 55% Baalke 41% Paraag 2% and McCloughan 2%

Mike Davis kills me. I loved that RB class. My favorites for us were Ajayi, Coleman and David Johnson.

Coleman I figured would go early but was surprised David Johnson went earlier than expected...but seeing Ajayi go a round after we took Davis blows my mind.

I was willing to give Baalke some leeway because it seemed like there were still a lot of questions about his picks but holy crap how quickly everything unraveled and how quickly we found out that the unknown from his picks for the most part was just garbage.

His complete ineptness in drafting offensive skill positions plagued his tenure here.

By posters in this very thread

Yep...always got a good laugh out the inane treatises to justify Baalke's Top-5-ness and convoluted logic to lay claim to his draft pick "hits". Bad enough that idiot was sh***y at drafting, but he was also a thin-skinned crybaby who got the owner's ear and helped destroy the team. Geez, even though a few years late, I'm so glad he is finally GONE.
LOL this is gold. Great thread buddy! i cant wait to see the progress of this.

Ironically, we had a similar TO when Baalke took over too...something like 60+ transactions that year...in part, overshadowed by the fact that there were already quite a few cornerstone players in place (quality vs. quantity). There's something to be said about a fresh set of eyes.

Now, can ShanaLynch return us to a 3-year run? It looks like they are adding a bit of both to the mix...quality and quantity.

It's much easier to add cornerstones with top 10 picks. It's when we get outside the top 10 and start getting up against the cap that we'll really see how this new FO operates (not just Lynch and Shanahan but the entire FO).

Anytime you go from a one-man show to a full team approach, you've got to feel good. This is the best I've felt about a combo FO/HC in a very long time. Baalke/Harbaugh were terrific for a few years together but the wheels came off quickly. One couldn't develop a FQB, the other couldn't draft one. The show's over at that point.

Next...

Pee shy and talent blind, not a good combination.
Hell yeah more baalke fodder being tossed out.

Not defending him, if fact i hate him for what he's done to my team, not just with player personnel, lots of other crap too

But at least some of his recent DB picks seem to have a bright side

Thanks. I was wondering how much Baalke was left. So how many of the 37 Baalke players left below do you think will be on the 53 man roster to start the season?

My guess of who WON'T make it from the Baalke-cast in bold

CB Iworah, Prince Charles Baalke
CB Johnson, Dontae Baalke
CB Reaser, Keith Baalke
CB Redmond, Will Baalke
CB Robinson, Rashard Baalke
DL Armstead, Arik Baalke
DL Blair, Ronald Baalke
DL Buckner, DeForest Baalke
DL Carradine, Tank Baalke
DL Dial, Quinton Baalke
DL Jones, Chris Baalke
LB Armstrong, Ray-Ray Baalke
LB Bowman, NaVorro Baalke
LB Harold, Eli Baalke
LB Lynch, Aaron Baalke
S Reid, Eric Baalke
S Sunseri, Vinnie Baalke
S Tartt, Jaquiski Baalke
S Ward, Jimmie Baalke
OL Beadles, Zane Baalke
OL Brown, Trent Baalke
OL Garnett, Joshua Baalke
OL Kilgore, Daniel Baalke
OL Price, Norman Baalke
OL Theus, John Baalke
RB Harris, DuJuan Baalke
RB Hyde, Carlos Baalke
RB Mostert, Raheem Baalke
TE Bell, Blake Baalke
TE Celek, Garrett Baalke
TE McDonald, Vance Baalke
WR Burbridge, Aaron Baalke
WR Ellington, Bruce Baalke
WR Kerley, Jeremy Baalke
WR Smelter, DeAndre Baalke
LS Nelson, Kyle Baalke
P Pinion, Bradley Baalke

A handful of potential cornerstones in there. Basically, half the team (53 man roster) will be Baalke-players. That's a good purge for year 1.
