I'm telling you guys, he was a seahawk spy..
We gotta tighten up security. They infiltrated our fortress. Baalke was not working for us.

Kind of like how we all knew Vikings kicker Blair Walsh was paid off by Paul Allen...then...signs with Seattle.
You're on to something!

I remember reading up on how Millard would eat his oranges with the peel still on it, nutritious.

The 49ers' 90-man offseason roster has 49 players who weren't with the team Feb. 21. Of the Baalke draft picks whom general manager John Lynch inherited, 27 of 31 remain on the roster. The 49ers didn't re-sign two, free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receiver Quinton Patton, and they released center Marcus Martin.

Ironically, we had a similar TO when Baalke took over too...something like 60+ transactions that year...in part, overshadowed by the fact that there were already quite a few cornerstone players in place (quality vs. quantity). There's something to be said about a fresh set of eyes.
Now, can ShanaLynch return us to a 3-year run? It looks like they are adding a bit of both to the mix...quality and quantity.
It's much easier to add cornerstones with top 10 picks. It's when we get outside the top 10 and start getting up against the cap that we'll really see how this new FO operates (not just Lynch and Shanahan but the entire FO).
Anytime you go from a one-man show to a full team approach, you've got to feel good. This is the best I've felt about a combo FO/HC in a very long time. Baalke/Harbaugh were terrific for a few years together but the wheels came off quickly. One couldn't develop a FQB, the other couldn't draft one. The show's over at that point.
Next...
I'm pretty sure the goal is to build up the talent base to the point that we can have sustained success that lasts well past just a 3 year run.

No question...but that's this regime's first goal.
