This has to be the real reason. Breida has been struggling with an ankle injury and why play him now when you don't have to. Having him as close to 100% healthy for the play offs is the smart thing to do. Don't want to be like the Tooters having to resign a retired RB. It would be like us resigning OJ

He was last year but Mostert has been more productive this year. There have been a few games where Breida hasn't been effective at all.

he's been pretty good this year.

Certainly not perfect but, IMO, an excellent guy to keep in the rotation.

he's been pretty good this year.

Certainly not perfect but, IMO, an excellent guy to keep in the rotation.

Him and Mostert can take it to the house. Brieda should get more but there are only so many balls to go around. All three backs are capable. Then Kittle needs the ball. And so does Sanders.

He may have done or said something to end up on ST duties only though. Maybe late to a meeting or practice or something dumb that they are keeping in house as they should.
