I bet some team offers him much more money than we can. Won't be a huge loss, but he overall did a great job here, especially as a UFA.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jet cut in the off-season. The team will try and free up as much money as they can this off-season. I think the team will feel good going into next year with Coleman and Mostert as the top backs and I could see them drafting a running back late to compete for depth with Wilson.

this
I'm confused as to why Breida fell so hard in the depth chart.

He'll bounce back next season and be better than ever.

Yeah, even yesterday I thought we would see more of him. Something must be going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. I know the fumbles are a serious issue but he was the #1 at the start of the season and played very well. We still need him ready for this game, I hope whatever the situation is, it gets settled in the next 2 weeks and he's able to contribute, we will need him.

Since coming back from the injury in week 14, he had 26 touches (23 run 3 catches) and he fumbled 3 times.
You fumble you sit.

I wonder if it's a mental thing. Or if defensive coaches saw a weakness and figured they go for the fumble when Breida has the ball, even if they could end up missing the tackle going for a strip.

Yep, that's pretty much it. He'll be fine going forward tho imo.

I hope it's just that, but I do wonder. The elusiveness and speed we saw during the first eight games isn't there, at least from the limited touches I've seen.

I haven't seen any news about Tevin yet, but I imagine he's probably out. Which means Jeff Wilson Jr. will be back on the active list. He's not a bad option at RB. He can rip off some impressive runs as well.
The way yall ragged on coleman at the beginning of the season is the exact same thing happening to Breida now. He is a one trick pony and a one cut and go. He's not seeing the field, vision, not finding the hole , going down ar first contact. But here's the thing. You wanna know why Shanahan still went to Coleman over Breida ?? 2 things, Pass Blocking and not Fumbling. Breida didnt do anything since week 5 against the Browns. Mostert has outplayed both Breida and Coleman. I seriously dont know if he is back next season , him and Coleman tbh

Or it could be Wilson
In addition to the fumbles, Kyle has also been running a lot of power/gap concepts this season. Maybe that's why Breida has fallen out of favor. Those concepts aren't conducive to his abilities.
