I hope it's just that, but I do wonder. The elusiveness and speed we saw during the first eight games isn't there, at least from the limited touches I've seen.
I haven't seen any news about Tevin yet, but I imagine he's probably out. Which means Jeff Wilson Jr. will be back on the active list. He's not a bad option at RB. He can rip off some impressive runs as well.
Yeah, he's been less than impressive, but I think Kyle might be also rebuilding Breida's confidence by giving him safe runs that go to the middle of the line to where if there's a fumble, good chance that a 49er might be able to recover it.

What the f**k happened to Breida? He went from being top dog to finding himself being the 3rd option now. He started off the season on a high note, he looked unstoppable vs Cleveland then he just fell off. I don't trust this guy getting any significant snaps in the Superbowl BTW.

He looks to have lost his timing. Against GB, dude just ran full speed into a wall rather waiting for the line to open things up. Mostert runs smooth and is good at anticipating holes developing.

It just weird that he just lost his touch, I mean he doesn't look defeated like it's a mental thing because when the cameras on the sidelines he looks happy and cheerful it just kinda strange how this played out for him as of late.
Mostert reminds me of Bell he patiently waits for his blockers then puts the jets on once a hole opens up, but with more of a burst. Just keep feeding this guy and will be alright in the run game.

Im sad he fell out of favor. I get Kyle's short leash with turnovers and I hear that's the reason, but his speed would be a nice weapon in this game.

Well, there's only one game left to win now, all he has to do is be ready when his number is called.

Get him a run like he had vs Cleveland and he'll be back in the good graces. At this point anyone fumbling is gonna be on a short leash.
Can't afford to turn the ball over now.

Was watching some highlights from earlier in the year when Breida was tearing it up. I know he was banged up for awhile but am really wondering what happened to him. It seems like he has hardly played at all during the last half of the season. I know that part of it is that Mostert has come on so strong but am really surprised that he hasn't seen more touches. I notice that there have been the usual number of snarky comments about the reasons for it but I was wondering if anyone had seen any legitimate reporting on why that might be the case?

I dont think there is anything f as ncy. He got dinged up and missed some time. After that mostert took all of his snaps.
With coleman being the "workhorse" it left no work for brieda.

I think its a combination of the recent fumbles and Kyle's, "if aint broken, don't fix it" gameplan with Mostert being effective. If it calls for it Breida will get his snaps. If not, he's perfectly fine with his role on ST. The sideline and mic'd up footages shows Breida being Mostert's #1 fan

I wonder how Breida is looking in practice. I doubt he's tearing it up (and he was my favorite/number 1 back entering the season as a runner) in practice. If he were, he'd get those touches back.
