It wasn't just last season. Mostert was starting to play really damn good before he broke his arm in 2018.

i do not have time to figure out this logic with a known commodity who is a pretty complete back. vs a guy who is unreliable esp when it comes to fumbling the ball

Some people just don't seem to understand football. I can't imagine watching a sport and having no idea the strategy and reasoning behind certain personnel groups. Coleman is also an excellent blocker, something Shanny (and every other coach) needs from an every down back.

Ok Skip Bayless, I don't think Coleman is as good as an all round back as you see him. I think he is a shadow of his Atlanta days, I think he misses holes and has no ability to squeeze or get small in traffic. His pass-blocking is average, I don't think his receiving skills are much above average and his running ability is BELOW average.

People talk about Breida fumbling, he has fumbled the ball 4 times in 381 carries. The only knock I have on Breida is durability, this is a major concern the dude has a hard time fighting off minor injuries and is constantly getting hurt. This is why I think he can never be a bell cow, but under 200 carries a season and he can be far more productive that Coleman IMO, he is younger, faster and has more upside.

This.

And I never saw TC as a #1 RB his entire career.
I get the feeling the Cheetah will be traded for a Day 2 pick.

People don't know how to watch football because they don't like Tevin Coleman as much as you?

OK.
Really hope he is traded for a pick

He's not worth it. IMO

Teams will look into why he was ineffective in the second half last season. Regardless if it was due to injury or poor play, no team is gonna give up a day 2 pick for him.

I agree all the top backs still on the board no way we get second day pick. I'm hoping for 5th but we will see

ya hopefully a 5th, i'll take a 6th as this point as well. same with Goodwin, 5th or 6th would be nice. but it should be happening today. at least then we could package some of these 5ths and 6th that we have and move to down the 3rd/4th round and take OL.

Not today. Best I see is a 5th, more likely 6th. Not a bad return for a UDFA. Goodwin might be worth a 5th. Together a package for a 4th would be a good deal.

We still need IOL help.

He was clearly the best running back on our team last year. He averaged 5.6 YPC and was explosive while running behind his pads and displaying excellent vision.

What exactly should 49ers fans slow down on? He was incredible, why not expect more of the same?

Well he has never started over a full season . I am really interested to see how he does this season. Its easy when youre not the guy but now he has all eyes on him. Everyone will be expecting bigger things. High expectations. We are about to find out.

I'd rather keep Breida than ship him off for a 5th (or less). Coleman was hurt last season, Jet is an unknown. I think all the RBs work better when sharing the load, including Mostert.
