He's a RB. The value is only going to be so high unless you are someone with multiple 1200 + yard seasons. I wish Breida the best. He is definitely one of my favorite players and was a bright spot from day 1. I won't forget the 80 yard TD run against Cleveland. With that said, I expect that they have their eyes on another UDFA. Don't hand the job to anyone.

He handled the pressure the opposite of how Mostert did. I remember Mostert had an issue with fumbling the previous season and then he worked on protecting the ball and became one of our most reliable backs. I don't know what happened, and I feel like he should have got more play then f**king Coleman. Especially after coming back from the injury.

He would have been amazing here. Especially out of the backfield. Oh well. Hopefully Jet will actually play but it's a longshot

I don't understand the fall of Matt Breida. I was actually worried we wouldn't be able to afford to retain him, he averaged 5+ yards per carry 2 years in a row, which is very rare in today's NFL, and he get's shoveled off for a 5th round pick?
Meanwhile we're spending a lot of money on a guy who can't get healthy.

Shanahan is looking for certain traits, and Brieda, Pettis, and Goodwin seem to want to do their own thing. KS ain't screwing around on offense.
Probably felt like all of the investment has gone to the defensive side of the ball, so if he's going to play with lesser caliber guys they have to do things absolutely perfect! He and his dad can make any RB look good if said RB listens to the coach ala Terrell Davis.

For the record, please point out a situation where Matt does his own thing?
The only problem I saw/see with Breida, is that lingering ankle injury which seemingly plagues him every season.

It's clear we like and trust guys like Mostert and Coleman a lot more than Breida. Big fan of Breida and I wish him the best in Miami (except when they play us this season)
