Another good thing is Shanahan seems to be acknowledging he's a better player right now than Williams who he loves, shows he's not stubborn which is something we had heard about him!

Unlike Nolan, Harbs, and every other coach we've had in the last 10 years.

it's gotta be breida and mostert backing up hyde. if we keep 4 maybe williams - but i think hightower and bibbs are done.

Agree

ALSO, it shows that some detailed homework was done by scouts about Breida.

Nolan, Singletary, Harbaugh, Baalke, all stubborn as hell. Nice to have some flexibility and a guy who seems able to go back to the drawing board and re-assess his approach.

Before we declare our Rookie HC perfect...lets remember he did STUBBORN his way into a SB loss last year.
#2 RB. He has looked good. Lots of promise there.

Damn i hope they can pull off another Draft/UDFA class next year like they did this year. If they can, this rebuild wont take long at all.

Agree and great points about this being a great undrafted class. The key is that both John and Kyle talk to each other and are on the same page. Last few years it was GM vs Head Coach and every man for himself.
So what do yall think his rookie season will be like? 400 yards? more?
Yall know I try to be on the positive side, but I've missed most of the preseason games (seen Vikes and Chargers)... and I've tried to warch highlights on Youtube... but I'm trying to understand what is so good about Breida?

I remember one play when he turned a negative play to like 5 yards... but besides that... I feel I'm missing out on some footage of everyone's excitement.

It's easy to look good in preseason, we know that... but what makes this kid special? What have I missed? I've seen him run this nice route and catch, when lined up at wideout.

With Joe Williams it was elite speed in the open field, knowing he could take it to the house at anytime.... I understand why the coaches would be down on him because of the fumble...but enough to stash him for the season?
From undrafted to...

I think they were down on Williams for a lot more than just a fumble. Questions about his ability to pass block, coming into camp out of shape, it was a bunch of stuff to where they likely didn't have confidence in playing him in actual games.

Breida might not be as hyped but he has tremendous athleticism, runs well, runs within the scheme, catches well and is a capable pass blocker. He certainly didn't move up the roster due to his undrafted status, he's been impressing people since early on in minicamps.

Some of the best lessons learned are from embarrassments and failures. I think the 49ers will be the beneficiary of that particularly harsh lesson.
He's our new Maurice Hicks

IMO, Best UDFA crop we've ever had.
