This...imo that was a fumble, we got lucky with that no call.

He's got speed and is a okay pass-catcher. He can't break tackles at all though.

Sounds like we can get a home town discount for Hyde and we most likely draft a RB at some pt.

Agree, I think between pass rusher and OLine, I'd focus on those vs putting more resources on the RB position at this time.

We got Williams coming back next year, too. No need to draft another RB if we got Hyde and Beida coming back.

26 actually, but yeah, I'd like to see Hyde back too, especially hearing how positive he is about being here. 5 years though is on the long side for an RB of almost any age. But I'm sure Paraag could make it team-friendly.

27?

If he's 27 that ruins my argument. Put me in the group that wants a 3-year deal, instead.

Not true at all bro. He's not as much of a tank as Hyde(very few RBs are)but I've seen him break tons of tackles. There's no way you average 4.2 yards a carry behind our o line without breaking tackles. Especially yesterday he was breaking them all day.
Im just not sold on this guy or hyde...

He broke several tackles yesterday and is a rookie, let's relax

I'm all for improvement....hopefully he does (was my UDFA preseason crush).

By no means is he a #1 IMHO. Doesn't mean he can't be a solid player for us.
Breida played exceptionally well against the Jags...was happy to see that. He started the season strong, then hit a lull, but looks to be a real threat now. Very good compliment to Hyde. Add Joe Williams to the mix and our backfield could be very dangerous. MB will learn to pick up the blitz better the more he plays. I'd like to see Shanahan use him more as a receiver...think he could really exploit defenses with his open-field running.

Truth!

IMO, excellent change of pace back.

Shanahan was asked if Breida had starter potential on the heels of an 11-carry, 74-yard performance against the Jaguars.
"I think Matt Breida has the ability," Shanahan said. "He's gotten better throughout this year … I think he's doing a better job right now of breaking some tackles. And I think he had one of his better games Sunday."

Yep, We can use the saved draft picks for O-Line or defense!

Breida is not a stick, but if we wants to be a number 1 back he could get up to 200 lbs.
