4.4 per carry average. That's not bad.

Pretty sure they saw an undrafted rookie play like an undrafted rookie. Ceiling is low on this one IMO.

And you're entitled to your opinion like anyone else. How well did Hyde play? Our run blocking left a lot to be desired. Few rookie RBs are great in pass pro out of the gate.

Breida shouldn't be counted on as a starter but he's not terrible and he can certainly improve with time and work.

Breida was good enough last year with his limited opportunities to be considered in our future plans going forward. Hyde with the ample opportunities he's had over the last few years has not.

I like the way they used him toward the end of games when opposing defenses were worn down, he could skate right by .

I'd be really surprised if Breida wasn't on the 53 next year. I'd be just as surprised though if he's the starting RB week 1.

He's a great athlete for sure, but goes down on first contact, and struggles catching the ball and in pass pro.

I like him as a #2 or #3, just not as a #1.

These are Hyde's splits by the way....you could also make a claim that he's out of shape when you look at that avg decline...

Breida needs to get better after contact...

Yeah that's not true

+1. If he's starting then young has a point. But hes a serviceable player

Thanks for the stats. They more or less confirm to me that Breida's quickness was an asset on some plays in the fourth quarter when defenses were less sharp. He's a smaller back, so its reasonable that breaking tackles wouldn't necessarily be his strongest asset.

Running behind this oline, he's going To get lots of opportunities to work on it before he he hits the line of scrimmage
Not really big on him. Nothing he did impressed me much.

It's not just the speed but the faster processing, IMO, that has Breida finding more success in OZ.

Hyde has always danced behind the LOS too much....
Yup, Carlos doesn't see and process it as well as Breida.
