I agree! I was getting Bo Scarborough envy last night. Wouldn't mind seeing us bring in a bigger back to compete.

why would he even run 25 times? i would be surprised if we run 25 times the whole games. its now a passing league, especially if you have a QB who can throw the ball like Jimmy.

we need to run the ball. if we have 2 wide outs with 1000 yards each. that is not good big picture wise in my opinion. but it all goes back to the o line. always has been. still continues to be the sticking point on this team

Nice
We got lucky no one sustained serious injuries, they should be back in time for week 1

of course we need to run the ball, even the Patriots run the ball at times. but the Harbaugh days are gone where we run the ball 35+ times a game. even if we run the ball 25 times, McK won't be running it all 25 times either. realistically, he'll get 10-15 carries a game, Breida 4-6 carries a game and our 3rd string RB 3-4 carries.

last year we rushed the ball 25 times a game, that number might go up to 26-27, just because we should have more ball possession with Jimmy than we did with CJ. but that's still no where near the 20+ carries that some believe that a guy like McK needs to get in order for our run game to look good.

that is great news, got worried because KS didn't sound optimistic about it at all. glad we came out of week 1 with just minor injuries.

Our RB core is very weak.

Exactly. You have to have a respectable running game but you don't need one single back running 25 times a game.

THIS x 1000.....
Give him the rest. Blessing in disguise since we could evaluate McNichols Mostert and Williams.

I liked CJ and still wonder what his potential is, but yesterday it looked like he hadn't improved at all in terms of hanging onto the ball WAY too long. It was really awful and he'll never be starter material if that's not corrected.

The way Shanny talks about Breida, you can tell he loves him to death. He's a guaranteed lock to make the team, we know that. I want to see more of Joe Williams, I think he's better than people think. Mostert had some nice runs on the outside, but he coughed up a fumble in scoring postion, so we can't ignore that either.

I think he can be a productive player. Last season there were several runs where he was tripped up but had a bunch of daylight to run to. He's more dynamic than Morris in the passing game. Here's his chance to make a name for himself.
