James doesn't have the desired effect on the defense that McKinnon has. If an opposing DC sees Richie James coming on the field, good chance they're going nickel/dime and covering him with a DB.

But if McKinnon is on the field, it's difficult for DCs to match up because they must decide whether to stay in base to defend the run and have a LB on McKinnon if they pass or nickel and Kyle runs 21 personnel OZ down their throat.

Good breakdown. We are essentially the offense from the final third of last season, except with Pierre Garcon. Not bad, but not our full potential either.

i do not care the names,. i am not pleased with lynch the way it is... but if he sets around playing checkers this week while running around saying. we do not need to add people. we like our people. we love our tackle we got from the browns. we think ward will be a valuable piece of the defense this year.. while we have concerns especially in the areas of need like running back and pass rush. well. i just do not know

Would you prefer for our GM to say we do not like our team and then list all the areas he may be concerned with. .

And I bet he is just sitting around playing games right now.

so far he traded for a scrub tackle and signed a scrub o line guy from the hawks. yes. i think he should discuss areas he is concerned about. he loves to talk so lets hear some real issues and not just blather like he did over the weekend about the scrub we got from the browns.,. yes,, it appears he is just setting on his hands so do not roll out the shock and awe if we are a 7 win team this year

He tried to get Mack but the Raiders chose to do a deal with Chicago. And you mentioned the other moves to date, so that seems far from sitting on his hands.

What will be accomplished by our GM pointing out negatives and concerns publicly? How does that help us win games?

he has done nothing to address the pressing issues like find us a extra running back and i guess you are just fine with who we have rushing the passer. you can say. our pass rush is weaker now than what it was five months ago and it was trash then, i understand the gm has be put on a positive face. i just wish a reporter had the guts to ask tough questions. of course that would make them a hater in your mind right?

We

Tried

To

Get

Mack.

Do you not understand that? Just because they have not added bodies to areas you want them to does not mean they are not looking to add bodies.

Reporters can ask tough questions... they also know he will respond with "we like the guys we have and if we believe a guy can help make us better and it makes sense for both sides we will go get that guy". You don't tip your hand and you express faith in what you have at the moment, which is a pretty standard answer for any GM.
Matt Breida thinking he is in the GM John Lynch thread

John Lynch, amongst countless others, doesn't care how you think or feel about the inner workings of which you no nothing about.

Agree

He'll be a lot better than most expect.
Breida reminds me of Kendall Hunter 2.0 and should compliment Alf pretty well.
