How much value do you think Hightower has nowadays?

Say if a team is wanting of a veteran runner who averaged 4 yards a carry on a saints team with a decent Oline and Breida looks good, I can see Hightower being dealt for a 6th or trade for a player kinda like the Kerley trade last year.

PFF
Carlos Hyde teases greatness at times, but can't seem to stay on the field long enough to sustain it. The fact of the matter is, Hyde now has 307 carries for his career and is averaging 4.0 yards per carry on them. He does have a ridiculous 73 broken tackles over that span, but at some point, it has to translate to production, or else he's just a better version of Trent Richardson.

Wait I thought PFF was s**t? Richardson career 3.3 ypc (never had anything over 4) Hyde 4.3 ypc and actually is getting better not worse like Trent. Derp

Health is his only issue

I have learned PFF is the only source of news or information of any kind that I need

People only trash PFF when stats don't match what they believe.

Anyone in there right football mind can see that the people at PFF love crunching numbers /stats... and i love reading them.

to each his own

Where's that in the lynch thread then? Only applies when you want it too I get it
At this point I'm very wary of UDFA heroes (White, Cajuste, Rush etc.). However, considering how relatively easy the transition is for RB's and especially the Shanahan system turning mid/late/UDFA RB's into productive players (Foster etc.) I feel much better about Breida's chances.

Practice squad candidate.

Hyde, Williams, Hightower, Bibbs

He'd have to beat out Bibbs for a spot. It's possible, so we'll see.
What is SPARQ? I've never heard of it.

Basically athletic ability grade. Seahawks have been drafting by it very heavily. Most of their guys are very high on the SPARQ rating.

Just google it. There's a site that details how the score is tallied and lists the recent results.

But essentially the idea is, get a talented athlete, coach them up and get yourself a very good player.

Seattle sucks at drafting though.

Lol true
I like the film, but I can't see UDFA making anything but the PS. He will have to blow away some tough competition. Carlos Hyde
Tim Hightower, Joe Williams, and Kapri Bibs make the roster, with Bibs inactive on game day.
If it weren't for such a deep draft at RB the kid would of probly been a 5th rd pick. Also if you actually look at the offense his coach was running his senior year you'll realize he was terribly misused. There would be games where he would go a whole half only getting 2-5 carries in a close game, I think someone posted the article earlier.

I think there's a good chance that 2-3 years from now he'll be a better RB than Williams. I'd say there's probly a 70% chance he makes the 53 man roster as our 3rd back.

If you like the film then that's what matters. There's been a ton of successful undrafted running backs.

Hightower isn't long term. Bibs has little value.
