Tim Hightower, Joe Williams, and Kapri Bibs make the roster, with Bibs inactive on game day.
Hightower isn't long term. Bibs has little value.
Hightower plays this season, because he knows the system, Bibs is a favorite of Lynch. Lynch did all the Broncos preseason games, and covets Bibs.
If Bredia makes the final roster it will be an uphill battle, and will need to blow some people away. Its in my option more likely Hyde gets traded, and then Hightower gets cut. Shannahan wants "his guys" if Bredia makes the team, I could see Hyde getting dealt for a late round pick.

if we were going to settle for a late round pick, we would have dealt him before this year's draft , I'm sure Kyle is comfortable with the guys he's brought in , but Hyde is still the guy , unless Williams rips it up in camp and pre-season and out right wins the Job , he does have the explosiveness Shanahan prefers , but Hyde still runs angry, and now he finally has a lead blocker clearing the way for him this season, he could rush for 1.300 yards and put the fear into opposing defensive coordinators

Bibbs was an UDFA himself and hasn't exactly done much in the NFL to give him a major leg up. Just because we traded for him doesn't mean he's a lock.
It's early and rookie camp or OTAs don't mean that much but if he's reportedly the best looking guy out there and keeps it up he'll make the squad.

I read a piece about Bibs, Lynch as a broadcaster did all the Broncos preseason games, and when he was trading picks with the broncos he asked specifically for Bibs.
I like what iv seen and read about Bredia, and Bibs for that matter, I think both have a chance to make the 53.
I think Breadi has more of an up hill battle, because Hightower is familiar with the system, and Bibs looks like the GM's pet project.
All that said, this new regime seems ruthless, and I feel they will not hesitate to go with the hardest working most talented player regardless of how they were acquired.
I do like a good camp story, generally pick a "camp crush" to root for, but I don't make my pick until the first preseason game.
I hope Bredia kills it and has enough talent and anger to make the roster, but I won't be surprised if he ends up on PS, Bibs for that matter has PS eligibility, so they could flip the bottom of the depth chart.

I've watched Breida the last 4 years at Georgia Southern University (same school as Jerrick McKinnon). GS is a traditional triple option school - we know running backs...
Breida was the greatest steal of the 2017 NFL draft season. BEAST
Where do I begin? 2014 1485 yards, 8.7 ypc, and 17 TD. As a Jr in 2015: 1608 yards, average of 7.9 ypc, 17 TD. Then in 2016 Georgia Southern hires first time Head Coach who butchers team who lost less than a handful of starters who went 9-4 and 9-3 in 2014! The 2016 team spiraled down to an abysmal 5-7 behind an incompetent staff. Matt Breida's numbers dropped to 646 yards, 3.8 ypc, and only 3 TD's ; all but snuffing out his pro prospects ....Looking on paper, it's not hard to see what happened to Brieda's production - same as entire teams production. Despite this seaming sabotage of his life changing NFL opportunity, you would never hear or see anything remotely close to negative from Matt Brieda.
The character of this young man is reminiscent to the "good ole days;" extremely humble, hardworking, gracious, selfless, huge heart..... Breida is the adopted son of two wheelchair bound parents.....He is an over-comer. He is a champion.

Can this guy return kicks/punts? He seems good in space.
To get to the next level, I think he needs to work on adding a little more burst.

He has excellent hands. I hear critiques say things about whether or not Brieda can catch, based solely on stats. Sports writers can be so lazy, sometimes. Georgia Southern is a traditional triple option/wishbone/hambone team. We LITERALLY threw 1 pass in our 2013 victory against the Florida Gators. Brieda doesn't have many receptions because we don't throw often, lol. They said the same thing about Jerrick McKinnon....

Great read, thanks for then link. Now I am really cheering for the kid.
Wow. Hadn't read that about his parents. That is intense. I hope it works out for him here. That's brutal that he was do badly misused in his Sr year.
Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The above image is before his father became very ill, too. The medical bills have put even more hardships on the family... Through it all Matt Breida never complains. He is a roll model in a time when they are desperately needed.

Thank you for these insights into Breida, scvcampdavis - much appreciated! It helps people like me who haven't seen him play in college and are just going by the scouting reports, highlights, etc. Really pulling for this guy to do well!

Damn, I really hope Breida makes the team now, I loved his pre 2016 tape, I liked him even as a potential late rounder this year, will be rooting for him this preseason, and hope he makes the team.

If Hyde has value to another team, and if Shanahan doesn't see him as a long term answer here, then i'd be game for trading him away for the best draft pick we could get. IF there is a 3rd or 4th rounder out there to be had for him, then i'd jump on it, and roll with Williams and Hightower as the 1-2 punch, with Bibbs and Breida backing them up.
