3 is steep, maybe 2 and change and I'm down but I said an offer earlier in the thread of next years top pick, our 3rd, AA and Tartt for Luck, they get 2 young defensive starters and their future QB..

3 firsts? Yes. A thousand times yes.

No way they take AA/Tarrt/and a top 3 pick for someone like Luck.

Honestly 3 firsts sounds reasonable, but no way the Colts ever move off Luck unless his injury is long-term and in that case no thanks

You meant to say "take a shot at drafting our franchise QB when the bust rate for 1st round QBs is well over 50%"

So 3 firsts for a gimpy luck is better odds, no way.

If we're picking in the top 3 this year, no thanks.

3 firsts? really? Luck is good but not that good and he is injured alot. Giving up that much for someone has missed so much time is too much of a risk. I would say a 1st and 2nd

yep, would much rather go with Darnold or Rosen
A 100% healthy Luck with a good offensive line assuming it's fixed next year regardless and Shanahan coaching him sounds as good as it gets, but 3 1st is tough, I'd say 2 1st and change would be enough especially if it's a top 5 pick next year..

If it's a top 3 pick next year, Colts should be happy with that pick and either one of our 2nds (whichever is higher) or a 2019 1st-round pick.

Three 1st-round picks is overkill. I don't know if I would even trade that much for Aaron Rodgers especially with how high we'll be picking next year.

And I know I'll get shot to oblivion for saying this, but I think Luck is overrated, albeit a tad. Kaepernick actually has better career numbers in most areas (TD-INT ratio, completion percentage, rushing yards, QBR, etc.) and more career accomplishments (playoff wins, Super Bowl appearance, etc.). Yes, I know, context and all that. But that says a lot.

EDIT: Before someone says it I am NOT a Kap apologist! (Despite what most people here like to think for whatever reason). I'm just stating facts and you're welcome to take them as you wish.

A 2018 1st., and a 2019 2nd.. , and dats it. We can save $$$$ from a bidding war/pissing contest for Cousins, and have a young moldable talent. Fixes our situation NOW, this year can go from rebuild to transition within it.
I'd say take Irsay out for a couple drinks and who knows lol you might get Luck for free

This is in line with my thinking. A first in 2018, a second in 2019, and MAYBE throw in an additional (2019) third or fourth rounder to seal the deal.

I like Luck, and I think he'd kill it in Shanny's system, but no way would I give up multiple firsts for him.

FWIW though, it doesn't matter who signs Cousins. He's going to be paid at the top of his position come the off-season.

That's just the market.

You guys are out of your minds if you think a 1st and a 2nd are all it would take for Andrew Luck.

Sam Bradford was traded for a 1st rounder and a future 4th rounder.

Alex Smith was traded for a 2nd rounder and a future 2nd rounder.

Yet, somehow, Andrew Luck is only worth a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder? Yeah sorry, but you guys are not operating in reality. Andrew Luck is twice the QB that either of those two are, yet he is only worth marginally more than them?

OK, lol.

There's actually a pretty big difference between "a 1st rounder" and a top 3 pick. There's a HUGE difference between "a 2nd rounder" and a top 3 pick.
