I'm not a Dak fan. But always surprising that fans still believe you have to be a top QB to be paid like a top QB. It doesn't work like that. I has never worked like that.
BTW... what if that $30M/year had little guaranteed money? Why would he take a deal that has minimal guaranteed cash when he knows how desperate this league is for QB play. He will 100% get sizable guaranteed dollars on the open market.
Don't let your Cowboys hate alter your perception of how the QB market actually works.

I completely disagree with this entire post. Elliott is what makes the Cowboys offense what it is. The Cowboys would be stupid to let him hold out, not stupid to cave.

Looks like Jerry isn't giving in to Dak. I doubt he lets Zeke go.

Zeke is an elite back and still young. Its a no brainier, especially when you look at the numbers when he doesnt play.
But Jerry is scared of the off field issues, and thats probably the main problem they have when giving him a lot of guaranteed money.

I'm all for Zeke's hold out = Cowboys stink.
Let Dak play a year without Zeke, that $40 million expectation will be cut in half by the end of the year.

I think Jerry bought that Yacht for a reason:
Private meetings with players like Zeke. And on there you're able to wire or just give the player an extra million or so ,under the table and tax free, and nobody would know.
Have them then sign a basic contract extention in public.

Cowboys have offered Zeke a contract to make him one of the 2 highest paid RBs in the league. But probably the second highest paid and he wants to be the highest so that's not gonna work.

According to his stats, he deserves it.

Here's the news Dallas has wanted: Talks between the Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott are intensifying, with both sides aiming to wrap up a new deal this weekend, league sources tell ESPN.
