Why did they give Jason Garrett so many meetings to decide if he's gonna be the head coach or not to finally decide to fire him lol. Really dumb

Jerry might be waiting for a coach that may be still coaching and in contention.

I think Jerry was that loyal to Garett. He didn't even fire him just didn't renew the contract.

I'm pretty sure he wants Urban Meyer or that Oklahoma head coach.

Garrett must be the back up plan

Might as well just keep Garrett

Marvin is a pretty good HC though. Not his fault Mike Brown is a cheap b***h.

Not all that funny. Lewis made the Bengals relevant for a time, the f**king Bengals. People talk s**t, but that is an accomplishment. except for parts of Lewis' tenure the Bengals haven't been relevant for close to 30 years.

Eric Bieniemy is pretty much being interviewed by every team with an opening.

This. I had a theory that it was the reason (besides being cheap) that the Bengals would fire Lewis. They figured it would be back to the 90s Bungles. They fire Lewis and look at what happens- drafting number 1 overall just like they did the year before they hired Lewis.

Possibly. But he is a legit candidate. This isn't like interviewing Ted Cottrell or someone like that.

When I first heard this guy's name during a broadcast, I thought they were saying 'Eric the enemy'. I was thinking were they just calling him that because he was on the other team or was that his nickname. Then I saw it on the back of his jersey and realized what they were saying.

Teams usually don't disrespect veteran retread coaches like Marvin Lewis with a Rooney Rule interview though.

Considering they are also talking to McCarthy today, it may be a case of giving a sniff to both vets to leave no stone unturned. It also affords an opportunity to pick an experienced offensive and defensive brain disconnected from the team for some fresher perspective.
