Yeah, he must have been drunk when he posted it. Ignoring the fact that JJ hasnt won a Superbowl since Jimmy's legacy expired, which makes a complete nonsense of the comparison, look at the Head Coaches. And that wins it for Jed, hands down.

Niners weren't even close to being for sale or anything in 1988-89 when Jones purchased the Cowboys

By the time the Niners has their "in-family" ownership change in 2000, Jones was firmly entrenched as Cowboys owner, and it would've been conflict of interest for him or any of his children to try and "buy" the team, which in any case wasn't for sale

One thing that was contemplated though, in '89 after Bill Walsh retired, Jimmy Johnson was bandied about as a possible "new blood" replacement, but of course the Niners rightly went the in-house route and promoted DC George Seifert. When Seifert was under the hot seat in '94 (after the Chiefs and Eagles losses), there were again calls to replace him with Jimmy Johnson...old school NT would've fun back in the day
