Yep, was watching him a good bit of the time and he certainly played his best game of the year.

I agree. Giving up only 1 sack against that defense - remarkable. Somebody was doing something right on the O LIne.

I hope we can address the Left Guard position but I think between Tomlinson, Garnett and Fusco the Right Guard position should be fine

We just don't know what we have in Garnett. He's been mediocre, bad, and awful in action, but he's young and our team in general is getting better. He's under contract and as a former 1st rounder, he does have the 5th year option clause, which seems silly right now, but may be useful in the future.

Garnett has become an experiment now. Lynch said the club would use Garnett as a model for players that need to transform physically to fit the 49ers' style of play. For Garnett, that means being more nimble to block for Shanahan's outside zone rushing scheme after playing in a power-based attack at Stanford. I certainly hope that he responds well

Just no.

Three crappy players just adds up to a mountain of crap.

I don't mind them sticking around for depth but I hope none are starters next year based on what we've seen

Garnett is still and unknown...will have to see how he responds to KS's request to change his body out of the other two I think we have solid depth players but they should never be starting.

Yes he did. He may be worth bringing back as a back-up.

AGREED. Trent Brown and Staley are the only guys who should be assured a starting spot from our current O-Line. Kilgore may get a shot with some competition. Garnett has a chance to battle for a starting spot as well but I hope address the O-Line heavy in FA and the draft. Would love to start by singing Jensen and maybe drafting Nelson.

i am sorry but i am puzzled by people who want to bring crap people like him and kilgore back for back ups,,.. not only do we need to up our talent with the starters but we need to rebuild our depth. with the way offensive linemen go down with injuries. i do not want our crap starters having to come in next year as crap back ups.. there should be some rookies or vets that could do better than this guy . kilgore and whoever else we dump.. i want people who directly led to our crap year like some of the o line guys eli and some of the secondary guys. gone forever. f**k em all

Well alot of it is b/c it's nice to have depth that have a great knowledge of the system. FA or Draft guys will be many steps behind mentally.

if they are crap they are crap. despite so called knowledge of the system. what good does it do if you know the system and then you go out there. get abused and as a result our run game sucks and jimmy is at risk to get hurt every time he goes back to pass. if the new guys are smart. they will know what to do. they run block and pass protect, i am not willing to give the players who totally blow for us another chance because supposedly we hope they get it in the second year. what if they just are plain bad like many of us think. then you are right back to where you started

They are below average, not crap. See the JAX game. Fusco is fine depth at the very least.

Yeah, if Tomlinson, Kilgore and/or Fusco are starting next year, the FO failed miserably.
