The numbers bore out how markedly Laken Tomlinson improved last year. (@PFF)

First 8 games: 21 hurries, 4 QB hits allowed
Final 7 games: 8 hurries, 2 QB hits allowed.
Not a fan of stats like this.... this could also mean QB play is better versus guard play being better. This is the trouble with PFF sometimes.
As long as he's playing better I don't care lol...good qb play will always make the OL better.
Until it doesn't. I'm not saying he wasn't playing better - what I'm saying is this stat doesn't show it. Was he playing better? Coaches can answer that better than I can I'm sure. In pass-pro, there were more "look out" blocks than I liked. Again, that could have been because what Kilgore was asked to do (protection calls). I just would count on these stats to demonstrate improvement without a doubt.
So averaged a hair over 1 hurry over 7 games, played next to Kilgore, came in 1 week before season opener and had to learn a new system and get in better shape for OZS... And we're complaining he came on strong at the end after grading out well as a top guard, even if potential with a TRUE QB?
Now will be going into year two with a full off season and musta had a solid off season to even get the extension? Cmon y'all, give Lynchahan the benefif of the doubt here. We're not hurting for money and if anything is insurance.
Yeah, Laken should be fine and will only get better.
