Now will be going into year two with a full off season and musta had a solid off season to even get the extension? Cmon y'all, give Lynchahan the benefif of the doubt here. We're not hurting for money and if anything is insurance.

Totally misread what I said; this isn't a complaint.

The PFF stat is misleading.

This isn't an indictment of Tomlinson but simply a statement of fact: there's still work to be done and this isn't a settled issue.

What about a hair over one hurry in 7 games? That doesn't mean anything? He's peaked as of last year week 17?ofcourse there's work to be done, but let's not s**t on the extension or act with his circumstances last year he can't continue to improve.

Jonathan Cooper SHOULD win the job. I'd say it's a pretty even between Cooper and Garnett, only Garnett has had a year with the playbook.
Just an FYI, waiting on my 2nd source to confirm what my 1st source said on Cooper's $2M base being gtd, also his $475K Workout Bonus would be dead money now with OTAs over.

Agreed, that's the likely outcome; but I'm sure we would all love to be surprised if Josh won the job. Cooper would be solid depth with Person. If not, Garnett will be headed down to Quiznos to hang out with Marcus Martin and Brandon Thomas.
LT has a full camp this year and is sandwiched between Staley and Weston. He's set up to be in a better position this year than last.
Just a reminder...we gave Kilgore a new contract this yr which just killed me. I totally misread that. He was slotted to be traded, yet we gave him a raise. So are we sure that Laken is the one? or was this contract extension supposed to get GArnett going? If so that is an awful lot of money we dropped on Laken tho..

Hahaha this! You can't invest all-pro money at every position...or top 10 picks.

Shanahan was rocking top end offense with chris Chester as his starting OG (for years).

Man is that hard to watch. So glad he is adios. He organized the talent that was here but that was about it. Kyle is everything he wasn't.

Kilgore was signed as insurance . There was no guarantee we'd get Weston. Just like Kerley/Malcolm Smith we're signed as insurance pick.

Different situation. I don't think they'd give LT a decent sized contract with the main purpose being to motivate Garnett. That be a weird strategy.

You're glad we lost our first winning coach since Mooch, a guy whose departure set off a decade of losing.

Kyle has done jack s**t so far to merit even a passing comparison to Harbaugh.

To press this point even further...before lucking into Garoppolo, what was Kyle's record? I'd say all of Jimmy G's wins were more because of Jimmy G and less because of Kyle's offensive "genius". Oh yeah....here's another hypothetical, give Harbaugh a QB like Jimmy G...what happens? We'll never know.

I'd take my chances with Kyle leading our team over Jim. Look at Jim's bro ever since he lost some talent from that amazing super bowl squad. Pretty mediocre. Jim was already going down that path. s**t We'd probably still have kap as our qb if Jim was still here.

Lol. No more Willis , Aldon and Justin smith, prime bowman or prime Brooks.

Players deserve just as much credit as y'all are giving Harbaugh alone. Acting like he'd lead the 2015, 2016, 2017 niners to 10 to 12 wins lmao

Had it worked out where Jed kept Harbaugh and fired the true reason this team faltered by replacing the coach killer in Baalke with a competent GM then who know's what would have happened. Truth is he took a team coming off a 6-10 record and led them seemingly overnight to a 13-3 record and one of the hottest starts for any HC in NFL history.

Yea definitely . Who knows what would have happened. Jim made some great decisions and some bad ones. More good than bad though obviously.

Absolutely a great start. He also had the benefit of bringing aboard Aldon and his 14 sacks on a rookie season. And the benefit of having to follow up on Singletary. Small shoes to fill as a coach

Trust me I'm very thankful for what Harbaugh did for the 49ers in his tenure. Too bad his attitude wasn't different and was a bit more humble. I thought he would do what Shanahan is doing and that was bring the WCO back to the Bay. So glad that Read-Option crap is outta SF!!!!
