This.

Kyle has done jack s**t so far to merit even a passing comparison to Harbaugh.

To press this point even further...before lucking into Garoppolo, what was Kyle's record? I'd say all of Jimmy G's wins were more because of Jimmy G and less because of Kyle's offensive "genius". Oh yeah....here's another hypothetical, give Harbaugh a QB like Jimmy G...what happens? We'll never know.

Give Kyle a top 5 defense and the 9ers never lose.

If you can't see the schematic difference between Harbaugh and Shanahan you are completely lost.

Harbaugh won because Vic Fangio kicked ass and took names. Too bad The Bears wouldn't let Vic come here. We will see if Saleh can ever get team to that level.

Harbaugh does a fantastic job of getting the most talent out of his players and motivating thrm but lacks in the x's and O's department. It's why his teams are always prettt darn good but he always loses to the teams with great coaches.

Couldn't agree more.

Back to Tomlinson, looking forward to seeing if he can continue to improve in this scheme and help fortify this OL.

Who's got it better than us?

Had it worked out where Jed kept Harbaugh and fired the true reason this team faltered by replacing the coach killer in Baalke with a competent GM then who know's what would have happened. Truth is he took a team coming off a 6-10 record and led them seemingly overnight to a 13-3 record and one of the hottest starts for any HC in NFL history.

Harbaugh is a f**king psychopath. He would have worn out his welcome regardless of who the GM was. I am so much happier with Shanahan at the controls and believe the team will be better for it in the long run. Harbaugh inherited a team that had a lot of talent on it but that needed direction. He was able to provide that for a short period of time but then sabotaged the team, and himself, by tying his wagon to Kaepernick, So glad that both of them are gone.

Loved Jim Harbaugh's winning percentage and loved his defenses. I'd take his defenses over our defense right now. I'd love to have Aldon back in his prime and without any drinking issues. I think we got Cowboy back in Buckner. I think we have a young solid secondary that can develop into a good secondary like what Harbaugh had in 2011-2012. As for Linebackers, Fred and Reuben aren't at the level of Willis/Bowman *yet.* That can happen soon though, if all things break well for Saleh. I love good defenses, that's the stuff Dynasties are made of.

At some point this year or next the talent level on the defensive side of the ball has the potential to force out inexperienced Saleh if he doesn't figure it out any quicker.

He didn't sabotage anything...the 20+ players landing on IR his final season did.

And we know today that he was also clearly undermined by the front office on this team that blew draft after draft and accumulated nothing while going behind his back to turn the media and potentially the locker room against him. Baalke is the sole reason we "only" had a 4 year run instead of another resurgence...thats not on Harbaugh who clearly was the difference between another dissapointing season with a talented team year after year before his emergence to coming within a play of either another SB trip or Championship year after year after year.

I say all this without even throwing Jed under the bus and his clear involvement steering this team back into the dumps. I still worry if he will anxious again because he's not in the limelight or winning and some how end up throwing his HC under the bus again.

So are we sure that Laken is the one? or was this contract extension supposed to get GArnett going? If so that is an awful lot of money we dropped on Laken tho..

We gave Kilgore a small raise, reason being we didn't know if we would be getting richburg in FA that was an insurance policy. Imo this isn't the same situation...the draft is done FA is done, deals like Kilgore's and Kerley were done before FA/draft.

Do you honestly think that's a lot of money we don't know the exact breakdown of the contract I'm guessing there's a a lot tied into roster bonus and such...$10 million guaranteed over 3 yrs isn't a lot of money if you're looking at how much guards are getting paid now. Throw in SF has him on the books for $1.6 million this yr they're paying him less then $3 million per yr for 4 yrs, that's less then what fucso got for ATL.

Agreed cc. In terms of talent, it's an apples and oranges comparison (right now).
