The word here in Eugene is Herbert may not enter the draft this year. I think he will but there are rumors he is considering staying one more season. If he goes to the Giants he is set up for failure. He is a kid who played high school ball 5 miles from his college. Never been exposed to the real bright lights. Oregon hasn't really been in the spotlight while he has been there. If he stumbles in NY the press will eat him alive and he may end up as another talent unable to handle the pressure.

I agree but the Giants stupidly thought Eli still had it especially with Barkley taking some pressure off, signing Solder and drafting Hernandez.

If Herbert doesn't come out then the Giants are screwed. The next QB class isn't looking too hot, even with him included.

Exactly. They are on their way to pick the top QB or find an upgrade in FA. Fans might not like it because they aren't winning games yet but the rams did the same thing and look at them now.

Signing Teddy Bridgewater makes sense..

Barkley is a beast, but I want to see how he adjusts when defensive coordinators realize that he bounces everything outside.

Idk I've watched some of the Oregon QB he looks as good as the top QB last year to me. Bridgewater and Taylor would be an upgrade, maybe the Bucs cut Winston and they could get him for cheap. The draft after this one should be even better as well they are in total rebuild. There are many ways to skin a cat is all I'm saying and Saquon Barkleys don't come around ever really. I don't blame them for taking him than finding a QB later. It's not the fastest way to turn around a team but it could work out the best as it did for the Rams.

All things considered, I'd rather have darnold/rosen/Mayfield and Bosa than Barkley and Herbert

I thought Rosen was a perfect fit for them with Eli serving as bridge QB for a year.

Uhh. Mayfield was gone. It would have been Darnold or Rosen. Darnold has been pretty damn good so far no way they drafting high enough for bosa. More like Darnold/Rosen and 2nd ER available vs Barkley and Herbert. I think there is a good chance the later becomes the better pair.

Foles and Bosa may be the smarter route. The team has 7 sacks right now.

Cant use hindsight one way and not the other. For all we know, they sit their shiny QB for a year behind Eli and have an even worse team than they do now.
