Terrelle Pryor
Bashaud Breeland
Zach Brown-Who has been absolutely fantastic for them so far this season
Spencer Long-Crucial starter on their OL

All of those guys will command big raises.

Beyond that they need to work out an extension with Jamison Crowder who has become a very good player on their offense and special teams as well as looking at re-signing Trent Murphy, who despite a torn ACL has been a good player for them in the past.

At minimum you're looking at eating $20-25 mil to bring those guys back.

So you think they would rather keep those players over Cousins? And we don't have players looking at potential raises? Reid, Lynch, Hyde, Williams and possibly Tank.

No, Cousins would be a priority but there is a limit to everything. If the 49ers frontloaded an offer with $45 million, threw in a no trade clause and other such language, it would make it very unfavorable for them to match. They have been unwilling to commit to a long term deal with him for far less money.

The 49ers could also throw in an early opt out if they felt good about Cousins committing to them.

Would Washington match an offer for Cousins if it cost them $40+ mil, they couldn't trade him and he had the ability to walk in a year?

The 49ers could extend those players, add Cousins and still have plenty of cap flexibility going forwards. None of those guys is breaking the bank. $110+ mil goes a long way.

Easily my favorite player. Ridiculous jump cuts with see ya in the end zone acceleration!

Of course redskins are losing Pryor...hes following his QB to SF.

As for Barkley, I get so annoyed by the term OW, but if you think Shanny likes offensive weapons, then he loves barkley

The fact that this team is only going to get better and able to sign good-great free agents while having a top 5 pick and 4 more in 2 rounds to add at least 3 starters is exciting, plus the fact that the cardinals and Seahawks are going down hill is even better, in a year the niners biggest competition is going to be the Rams for years..

As of Barkley, he's the best talent in the 2018 draft hands down, if Hyde gets injured I expect him to be a niner next year, if Hyde shows he's healthy he gets resigned and the niners go Landry after signing Cousins, Richburg and a WR..then Barkley is a Colt..
This kid is a freak of nature and is the caliber of player that doesn't come around very often. Watched this kid hurdle a defender, take a hit while airborne and the defender that delivered the hit just bounced off of him. Barkley then ran for the first down. Those are things that a football fan doesn't see that often. Be nice if someone could get the GIF of that play to post on here.
That play was nice, and the one where he stopped on a dime planting his foot on the sideline then bursts for more yardage, guy is a beast I want to draft him
For those who are saying that taking a RB with a top 3 pick is ridiculous, you have to understand that he is a freak of nature and has GOAT talent. He is an offensive weapon that needs to be accounted for. His skill set mimics marshall faulk's. He's probably the safest draft pick going in the top 10.
I dont see Shanny taking a RB inside the top 10. IMO, if it is not a QB because Cousins then it would be a edge rusher, CB, WR, OL or trade down.

Great prospect though.

Unlikely but not a foregone conclusion. I don't believe that either of the Shanahan's had a shot at a RB as uniquely talented as Barkley. Mike did use a few 2nd rounders on RB's such as Portis and it was reported that the 49ers had interest in Christian McCaffrey before the draft. If they happen to sign a QB, if Hyde walks, Barkley could very well be in the picture, though I don't particularly expect it but he'd be a tremendous scheme fit and then some. A legit three down back with superstar potential.

Oh for sure, I definitely would not write it off. I did not write off the possibility of LF last year either. I thought the chances were very very thin though.

So was Leonard Fournette, who is currently averaging 3.5 ypc in Jacksonville. So was Todd Gurley, who has a career 3.9 ypc. Oh and the best running backs in the NFL.... David Johnson was a 3rd round pick and Le'Veon Bell was a 2nd round pick. Jordan Howard, #2 in rushing last year, was a 5th round pick. Devonta Freeman, who just got $41 million, was a 4th round pick. Oh and current 49er Carlos Hyde, a 2nd round pick, is #3 in the NFL in rushing.
Round 1 - Barkley
Round 2 - Mayfield and let's go to work. Probably never happen especially since Kyle doesn't like QBs that don't run traditional pro style offenses. Good luck with that by the way. We also have bigger needs than RB but this would be a decent foundation. Darnold, Allen, Rosen, Jackson, ugh.
Where does one buy the train ticket?

Not sure why one person's talent is predicated on the draft position of those before him. Please evaluate players based on their skill, not the skill of others.
