Watson has looked good, Jimmy G looked pretty good in his two starts but a lot can change. We thought Kap was the guy for a solid year and a half, for goodness' sake.
ck was just dumb man. jimmy is a good student of the game. had a good mentor and comes from a winning culture

this was a good one. A lot better than having to listen to smith yelling all the time.

One last thing and then i am done.
I really liked the Shanahan hire. But i will like it a whole lot less if he insists on ZBS or die. If he can get some meat out there who can block, one on one and forget ZBS this yr, i would be delighted. Right now if kyle is thinking ZBS instead of a guy who can protect the QB, then he is flat azz wrong. And will get our QB kilt. So let's back off the ZBS, coach, and work on QB protection. Maybe you already caved in on this, IDK . But if you are holding out for ZBS talent over plain old man or power blocking jsut to protect our QB, then you need a trip to the woodshed and somebody needs to paddle you. Because now you have made your move, and have JG. Dont' screw it up demanding ZBS guys this yr , but rather take anybody who can fog a mirror that also can block for our QB. Seriously, Kyle,....don't screw this up. You already showed it by having zero good picks for the OL. Sure good ideas in Zut, Barnes, fusco, and keeping kilgore, beadles, gettting rid of theus(mistake) and Magnus. None have worked out and you guys were supposed to be great talent pickers. Well you dropped the ball here...hey anyone can screw up....but you see the mess you left yourselves (and fans) by making such a huge hash of OL personnel. So can the ZBS for this yr and just accept anybody who can block ...SUCCESSFULLY.
Either do that or suffer the consequences of risking your FR QB, now that you have him. PLEASE.

Don't get the chain of reasoning by the Nose when he is arguing about the return the Patriots got via Jimmy G trade at all (he is talking about the returns the Pats got on QBs drafted in the recent past).

If you connect trade dots on 4 SF deals, you'll find 49ers got Reuben Foster and Jimmy Garoppolo simply for moving down 1 spot last April.

Originally posted by okdkid:No it does not necessarily. It just means that they wanted to find a FQB and found him now rather than through the draft. The offense will need at least another season to establish some kind of success imho.
This move means the Niners want to win in 2018. Don't view it as another "rebuilding year". They got their veteran QB. They will get veteran playmakers with their massive FA money. Will add a few impact players via the draft.
They're not nurturing a rookie QB. Niners will go all in now.

Jimmy G will be wearing #10 as WR Kendrick Bourne switches to #84.
