I've seen several comments on Twitter to that effect.
Was it something he said or his attitude at the press conference?
I missed it so I'm just wondering?

Probably was non-commital which is more of a negotiation tactic than anything

Eh. Cousins said he would want to be in Washington forever but everyone knew that if he had a choice he would run to SF.

I know I'll regret this...but why do you say that?

He just says we'll see when asked if wants he to stay beyond the season.

Seems legit

I think its a situation where team and player are evaluating each other. With Shanahan around, I'm not worried about Garoppolo stickimg around. This is a great offensive scheme for a QB to put up big numbers in. With his agents there I am sure there will be at least preliminary discussions on an extension going down.

Which is what he's coached to do. That's just business.

His agent and Paraag were sitting next to each other and both John and Kyle stated they believe he is their future QB.

He doesn't have a contract. They haven't even started negotiating. He hasn't even picked up a playbook.

What was he supposed to say?

I had no issue with that answer. 49ers control his rights. If they can't resign him before next season they might need to franchise him anyway just to meeting the salary floor. LOL.
Any good articles on Garoppolo on analysis or first hand accounts about his strengths and weaknesses?

I found these about his deep ball:

I'm just going to let you post for me from now on to avoid duplication of thoughts. LOL

Maybe his agents told him to say that in order to drive his price up for the 49ers. People forget this guy is seeking a 50-60 mil extension possibly, the Pats were actually forced into trading Jimmy, cause his franchise tag/2018 extension would've been 3/4 of what Brady was gonna get next year. Pats knew if they didn't trade Jimmy out of the conference now he would've possibly hit the bank withe the Jets in 2018.

Man, I'm Garoppolo'd out.
I hope they trotted Trent Taylor out there to meet Garoppolo, just to help him feel more at home.

That does not sound good

I don't think he meant to say that. He supposedly couldn't wait to get on the plane to SF.

Agreed. They have an understanding already that he going to receive a contract. This had to be already dealt with.

They have to have some type of understanding.

This sounds like a player who has been educated by his agent on standard negotiating tactics.
