He doesn't sound like a man that wants to stick around after this season.

I know I'll regret this...but why do you say that?

He just says we'll see when asked if wants he to stay beyond the season.

That does not sound good

I don't think he meant to say that.

Leave it to sus to bring the mood down

What else is he supposed to do? Rub his nipples scream yes and tongue down Jed?
We will sign him to a long-term contract either this offseason or next offseason. Once we do, people will then complain that we paid too much for a guy who hasn't even started a full season.

See it's becoming so predictable it's almost fun

Not really, but the chicks dig him.

He's about to learn a "foreign language."

I doubt he starts any time soon. I wonder if he starts at all this year while BeatHard gains experience as part of our elegant tank.

The good news is he has been in a real pro offense for years now. I'm looking at it like this he's now a pro ready QB that if he was available in the draft the last couple of years would have been the unquestioned top pick. The good thing is the offense he comes from pretty much does all the stuff a WCO does it just calls they different stuff. The erhardt-perkins calls play in 2 man route and 3 man route combos and attaches names to them.

Here's an example E-P play

The double slant/post combo is called "tosser" and what a WCO would call a sticks concept is called "ghost"

Here's that same play from Mike Shanahan's playbook.

I think Jimmy G is gonna be fine and I don't think it'll be that long before he starts. I think his first start will be after the bye.

One thing that worries me is that when someone asked him about the future, he said something along the lines of. We'll just take it one week at a time and see what happens, nothing serious but I doubt they come to an agreement to a long term deal and he'll likely be tagged

I think its a situation where team and player are evaluating each other. With Shanahan around, I'm not worried about Garoppolo stickimg around. This is a great offensive scheme for a QB to put up big numbers in. With his agents there I am sure there will be at least preliminary discussions on an extension going down.

I'm just going to let you post for me from now on to avoid duplication of thoughts. LOL

Yeah that's extremely likely but I just would feel a ton better signing him to a fair deal long term. Hopefully Paraag could one of the things he's supposedly good at. Structuring it to where he can protect the niners if it doesn't work for any reason down the road. None the less, extremely excited about this opportunity and we're not the only one thinking this is a huge and great chance for Jimmy is our FQB for a low risk. Would be amazing for football Gods to return the favor

It's amazing how the players can memorize all those plays.
I don't see the contract being a problem. He will have a new contract before his first start. His agent would not want him going out in a contract year playing behind this o-line.

Sus is just paranoid - everything is cool with Jimmy.
Jimmy G in the house!!!!!!!!!!
The most ignored narrative is that Bill didn't really wanna lose Garoppolo, the exit letter was very emphatic. In fact scouts believed Jimmy could've taken Brady's job this season amidst the early losses, and inconsistent play from Brady. Jimmy outplayed Brady during his first two preseason starts this season, which is why New England refused to trade him at that time for even 2 1st rounders.

What's really telling is that unlike New England's past (overhyped) QB trades, Belichick traded Jimmy out of the entire conference. That's a firm sign Bill feared this kid's ceiling/team intelligence enough to not let him dawn a Jets, or Broncos uniform in FA next year.
