my only concern is his small frame. I hope he can stay healthy behind this awful line.

Then again, this was Brady coming out college...

Small frame?

I don't know about you, he looks pretty well built to me.

I stand corrected.

Gay for Garoppolo?

Imagine how much p***y he gets?

Bout to meet all them Cali b***hes

Whether is chicks or d*cks, a ton of people fancy him. You have to admit the dude is frigging good-looking. LOL.

Looks like a normal dude to me.

They were comparing his release vs Brady's on the telecast (2016). idk what it means just thought I'd share.

He should have a quicker release than Brady - Garoppolo is on the shorter end for QBs with short arms (31") while Brady seems to have average sized arms for his height (6'4 3/8"). Garopollo has a slightly quicker release while Brady has a much higher release point due to his height, arm length, and release point (high above his head). This is one of the reasons Brady has been one of the most effective short and intermediate passers in the history of the NFL. Garopollo's lower release point coupled with a bad offensive line may be interesting.

I brought up throwing circles in the Sam Darnold thread, but I don't think anyone knew what the hell I was talking about. BTW, Darnold's throwing circle is huge.
One thing about those clips was that it wasn't comparing from the same camera angle. Seemed like the camera on JG was further behind him. Also don't know what kind of pass they were throwing.

No wonder BW drafted Carmazzi...

The problem I have is with the incoherent train of thought associated with the timing. If what you said is true (and, as noted, I believe it to be true) then it was applicable last off season. And thus, the 49ers should have given up the goose then and gone all out to get their guy. They clearly did not go all in, and it worked out for them. I don't have a specific issue with the outcome, per se, but if it is a risky move to wait now, by definition, it was a risky move to wait then.

And they tried, and New England politely said "thanks but no thanks." It wasn't a matter of price but that Garoppolo was still very much in their plans going forwards.

That was around the time where Adam Schefter stated that the Patriots wouldnt trade Garoppolo for "four 1st rounders."

Situations change, circumstances change, when the Patriots realized that Garoppolo's main priority was being a starter and that they weren't going to be able to keep him, they made the decision to get the best offer they could find and to Lynch's credit, the 49ers jumped all over it and got Shanahan the guy he wanted all along.

Good article. At least JG has a high, quick release to help makeup for his arm length. An OL with good pass pro guards can help keep things clear. He's shown he can use a pocket well if there's space in front of him.
I think JG throws accurately outside the numbers, short range. Saw a lot of short out routes completed in his 1.5 games.
Garoppolo also was a linebacker in High school. So he is built pretty damn well.

i think this linebacker experience helps with understanding defenses and what they look for, even though it was just on the high school level.

Yeah I know. I hate the guy too, but what he's saying is plausible. Seems weird we only had to give up a second, while the Browns were gonna give up a second and third for AJ McCarron.

Acoustics are awful...KS sounds like he is all in on JimmyG being the franchise. No slips like he had with Hoyer's press conference about never stoping to find the guy.

Having short arms I don't think is all that bad. You have a much more compact delivery as apposed to an elongated windup with longer arms.

While I fully admit I am not in the know, it seems highly unlikely the Patriots did not have a sense of where JG was re his situation.

Is it possible, before the draft, JG was content being a backup, and now he wants to play? Sure, though unlikely. Was JG thinking Brady was on his last leg and perhaps this year or next year were going to be Brady's last? Perhaps. Your speculations, and others' similar speculations, all rest on the idea the Patriots believed they were going to be keep JG until yesterday / recently, when they realized this was not likely (though, if playing time was truly his main concern, they certainly could have worked it out). My own speculation is that this could not have been the case. The Patriots must have known exactly what it would take to keep JG, and if they believed he was a FQB, they would have made it work, even if that meant supplanting Brady next year.

Only listened to the first third or so of CC's position, but his conclusion makes no sense. On the one hand he is saying BB did a solid for his friend(s) because that's what you do on the way out. So, he does a solid for his friend(s) while basically giving Kraft the finger? I mean, it's a theory, but not one based on any sort of objective reality.

the owner is not going to pay two 20 mill QBs. If you are worried about JG, Pats could have dealt him to the highest bidder which would have been a team in the AFC.

but no way BB was going to do that

I think Belichick would of paid him 10-12 mil or so though. He really wanted him for another year or two and realized it wasn't going to happen. So he traded him out of the conference. That is really a testament to how highly BB thinks of JG.

Our GM wouldn't say who initiated the trade, so I think it is obvious that it was the patriots. We could get him far away from them, offered a great pick in the second round and also are most likely giving them a back up QB. A win/win for everyone. that is called good business.

He also was able to give his old team that screwed him one more big "f**k YOU" lol gotta love it.
