It only looks like bashing or a smear of JG if you've already elevated him to the status of one of the greatest 49ers QBs of all time. If you just see him as a good, but as of yet unproven QB, then the critiques people have brought up in this thread won't look that severe.

It was a good game plan by Shanahan. Garoppolo did an adequate job of executing it and the defense came through with some turnovers. All in all, a great team effort, but I don't think any one player deserves a ton of credit.

I'm happy we have Shanahan as our HC. I'm happy we have Beathard, his hand-picked QB and the one he traded up to get, in the wings in case Jimmy falters.

Beathard is better looking though imo. That's subjective, but I brought it up because apparently that matters to some when deciding who the starting QB should be and people keep talking about how handsome JG is.
