Jimmy was more aggressive than CJ, played a tougher schedule in both quality and home and road (Jimmy started only 2 home games, CJ started 4 of his 5 at home) and his numbers dwarfed CJ's in every way imaginable ppg, ypg, comp%, 3 Down %, QBR, Qb rating, yards per attempt, yards per completion and most importantly wins.
816, you have to have a disclaimer saying you are not saying JG is Joe or Steve

Let the 816 in my handle be my disclaimer, because that's what they are there for....those guys are actually football gods to me. They are my all time favorite players.

I wish we were playing the Jags again this season so Jimmy could spit in Ramsey's a*****e again.

I think it's a mod's burner account. Thanks, Jack aka mod, for livening up this thread. I can only take so much of "Jimmy is awesome", "I agree" posts. We got another month to entertain one another.

He might not have done it all on his own BUT he improved that offense without question...it was night and day. SF's defense also improve because of his QB play. Teams couldn't run on them all day (because SF put points on the board) by the end of the yr SF's D was 6th best in the NFL in avg yard per carry at 3.8.... prior to the QB change they were one of the worst.

As far as your comment "Most of JG's completions were short yardage throws, so that makes sense." WRONG he avg 8.4 YPA which was TOPS in the NFL during that time.....but yes keep trying to make stuff up

Explain please? The numbers disagree with what you're throwing down

Still nothing, CJ

What's there to talk about? You posted stats that show that the team improved across the board when Jimmy started playing. That was nice of them. I wish they had done the same for CJ. It would have helped him out.

It seems like our defensive improvement during that time had more to do with our wins than anything the QB did.

Whatever...everyone knows Jimmy Garoppolo and C.J. BeatHard can't hold Nick Mullens jockstrap.

Might want to take a look at the time of possession and 3rd down conversion stat line.....funny what a defense does when an offense keeps it off the field.

Admit it....you didn't watch the games.

Jalen Ramsey is trolling us as Jack49ers84.

Jack49ers84 trolling like a master angler. No one could seriously think CJ is anywhere near the talent level of JG.

Another clear sign of the Jimmy runaway hype train. I've only ever implied that I thought CJ could be a good QB. I've also said that Jimmy is a good QB and is better than CJ. But the hype has gotten so out of control that this is somehow seen as insulting JG and trolling.

I think Jimmy could potentially be a top 15 QB in this league. That's high praise for someone who started just 5 games. I think CJ has potential too, and I don't think it's fair to judge him solely on his rookie season considering the circumstances. Shanahan obviously sees something in CJ or he wouldn't have drafted him so high or kept him around as the only backup.

Nope....you said CJ could have done what Jimmy did. However, with a similar sample size and playing a much inferior schedule including 4 home games CJ didn't come close to playing anywhere near the level of what Jimmy did.
