Right... did you? Their D got caught napping and then Bortles threw 3 picks. It was just a sloppy performance all around for them. It was just an outlier.

They didn't play up to their usual performance, but the talent gap allowed them to make it a game. Not sure how that's controversial. Trap games aren't unheard of. Teams losing to inferior competition due to mental lapses happens all the time.
Do you think that game definitively proves that we are a better team than Jax? I don't think so. I think we'd lose against them 8-9 times out of 10.

Originally posted by NYniner85:@ me next time. Jimmy is good, I said that but based off our game, only 1 Wr had more than 25 yards on us & most of that came off 1 catch for 24 yards... he used his FB & TE for big gains off play action & their running game was also good that game. That's scheme! Learn sum ✌🏾 https://t.co/xHkkuwprze

What he should have said was Ramsey did his job and the rest of the defense got sliced up

Our D in that game got tired out because the offense wasn't doing much after our initial surge when they weren't getting short fields from Bortles turning it over.

What's there to talk about? You posted stats that show that the team improved across the board when Jimmy started playing. That was nice of them. I wish they had done the same for CJ. It would have helped him out.
It seems like our defensive improvement during that time had more to do with our wins than anything the QB did.

Might want to take a look at the time of possession and 3rd down conversion stat line.....funny what a defense does when an offense keeps it off the field.
Admit it....you didn't watch the games.

No they didn't. Their entire team was ready to shake the west coast stigma. They had performed poorly the last few trips to the wc and it had been talked about at length in the week leading up to the game. Their players had been asked about it in interviews, it had been discussed on forums. They had heard all week about Jimmy G and were irritated to the point that they admitted as much to the media before the game. They wanted to be the defense that shut down all the Jimmy G hype. They intended to come out and erase that west coast fail stigma and were prepared. This is why they were so animated on the sidelines when they got punched in the face, because things went opposite their intentions. They had a LOT to be playing for and were prepared to play the 49ers and were just stunned.

Myles jack even stated they were tired of hearing the Jimmy G hype all week (after the game winning drive vs a playoff team last week) and wanted to come to town to shut it down....oops

There were about 4 throws in that Jags game that any QB could have made where the target was schemed open. I'm referring to the slide/bootleg plays where misdirection earned Jimmy a wide open target that was clearly the primary receiver on that play. Everything else required either a pinpoint throw versus man, or a coverage read versus zone.
Agreed. Jalen was just pisses cause Jimmy placed a perfect ball to Goodwin when he was in man coverage while under pressure 18 yards downfield.
For real. First dropback of the game Goodwin vs Ramsey). There's nothing scheme about this. It's a laser throw into man coverage. (your cutups)
