I think half of what you say makes sense and the other half doesn't, I hope you don't take that as an attack.
I am a big Jimmy G fan and like the move, but it isn't trolling to say it was a mistake. That is an opinion.

There are many examples where teams overpaid a QB who looked like the next big thing based on limited action.

so saying Cj is better QB than Jimmy due to CJ being more handsome is not trolling ? Those type of posts are his comebacks to real stats/facts

he's a funny guy..amuses me

How is that statement controversial in any way? The NFC has Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, Ryan, Wentz, Smith, Cousins, Goff, etc. Garoppolo hasn't proven he's better than any of those guys yet, so it seems really unlikely that he'll make the pro bowl ahead of them. At least not this year. Sorry that putting up 15 pts against the Bears and beating the Rams B-squad hasn't fully convinced me of JG's MVP status. 5 straight wins is impressive, but it wasn't against great teams (with the exception of the Jaguars, who most likely weren't taking that game very seriously). Only time will tell about JG, but he hasn't shown enough yet to be considered a proven commodity.

Also, I don't get why you guys bash CJ so much. You guys don't seem to remember that he played most of his games without either Staley or Trent Brown on the line as a rookie against some tough d-lines. If he had played the cupcake schedule Garoppolo did with a healthy Staley, he might have gone 5-0 too.

Beathard has better arm strength, toughness, and deep ball accuracy than Garoppolo, but JG does have a quicker release and is probably a little quicker/better making decisions (which is to be expected since he was a 4th year vet as opposed to a rookie).

I'm excited to see how much Beathard has developed since his rookie year. I hope he can sit behind Garoppolo this year and continue to learn and grow, but who knows what will happen. JG isn't exactly known for being durable, so it wouldn't surprise me if Beathard has to play for one reason or another.

Maybe for the other teams, not for us. Rams fans probably thought their season was over when Trent Green got injured and Kurt Warner replaced him. Eagles fans probably thought their season was over when Wentz went down and Foles replaced him.

Still taking this guy seriously?
"Beathard has better arm strength and toughness and deep ball accuracy"

Wtf?

There is not one part of CJ's game that is better than Jimmy's.

the issue is when a guy issues an opinion that runs counter to the mob who think they run this webzone. they are called trolls and the mods. or 99 per cent of them set on their hands. the poster jack loves cj. bless his soul. so for that they want to take him out side and beat the s**t out of him. as they put words in his mouth at the same time

Eh, the one thing Jimmy can improve on is the deep ball and CJ's known for his toughness. I'm not gonna fight for CJ like Jack is, but I don't see the reason to beat him up for having an opinion.

Garoppolo's performance on deep throws pushed his BTT percentage down quite a bit. The average NFL quarterback nets a BTT on 24.5% of their deep throws. But Garoppolo finished with a rate of just 6.3%. In 2017 Garoppolo did most of his damage in the intermediate range, but hopefully a full offseason paired with Shanahan means more fine tuning of the the deep-passing arsenal to Garoppolo's strengths.

So because we think Jimmy is light years better than CJ we are called the mob? We want to beat the s**t out of him? OK 👌 👍

Its definitely the worst part of his game but its not like he cant improve it. CJ proved he is tough as nails, but why is he tougher than Jimmy?

C'mon dude! "as they put words in his mouth" "they want to take him out side and beat the s**t out of him". So your putting words in other people's mouth, and then exaggerate what is being said. Any body can write their opinion here. When asked to delve deeper into their statement with facts to back it up, that is not "mob" activity, it's simply looking for reasons for the opinion stated. Brother you are in serious need of an attitude adjustment.

Homer and Jack must watch with their eyes close, because jimmy took hits on every throw lol

The whole discussion is pretty much pointless. The numbers backup what Jimmy did. When confronted with stone cold facts, he resorted to a strawman argument and said that every one was saying Jimmy is Joe and Steve. He basically minimized in numerous ways what Jimmy did and totally over stated what CJ did. It was this action that gave the appearance of someone stirring s**t and working under multiple accts.

I think Jimmy will improve, no doubt. And who knows who's tougher. Just don't think it was that absurd an opinion. Part of the reason we know of CJ's toughness is because he's so far behind Jimmy as a QB.
