Yeah I dont get it, and hes faulted for getting the ball out quicker? Jadaveon Clowney killed him all game and Jimmy took it like a champ.

The whole discussion is pretty much pointless. The numbers backup what Jimmy did. When confronted with stone cold facts, he resorted to a strawman argument and said that every one was saying Jimmy is Joe and Steve. He basically minimized in numerous ways what Jimmy did and totally over stated what CJ did. It was this action that gave the appearance of someone stirring s**t and working under multiple accts.

I agree with him that we dont need to anoint jimmy as top 10 just yet, but CJ is no where near Jimmy, its laughable

Quite honestly the guy running around the forum calling people homers and Lynch bathwater drinkers probably isn't best suited to play victim so cool it.

I'll say this, every single Patriots fan I talk to think....no.....they KNOW, that JG is a baller, already.

Just one yesterday told me such. When I told him I was a 49er fan he immediately said "man, you guys got Jimmy Garoppolo", with the fervor of a 49er fan and I knew he wasn't one....then he said he was a Patriots fan, and it made sense.

They might be overinflating their own guys because that's the Patriot fan way, but I do find it interesting instead of hating on him most of them love him.
Wow...this C.J. vs Jimmy stuff is foolish.

We have an apples to apples comparison, same team same season.

C.J. showed incredible toughness, and did indeed throw a good deep ball. I believe his toughness has forever endeared him to the fan base.

The reality is Jimmy is light years a head of CJ in terms of player development.

So, as far as I can tell some fans are argue ing a potential future C.J., who does not as of yet exsist, is better than the current Jimmy G.

Nice existential argument....but in order to win, we have to use the players that exsist in this reality.

Further, some feel we over paid for Jimmy based on the small sample size...that can only be determined in the future...

I am proud to know so many metaphysical philosophers, and futurists.

Sadly I'm stuck in the here and now, and have gotta put my nickle on Jimmy for the win.

I am glad to have C.J. has a back up, and look forward to this amazing future C.J. so many of you have seen in your crystal ball...

The evidence from last year is that we have a very good quarterback and a good backup. It's surprising that they executed as well as they did their first year in system.

By the time training camp is finished, they should both have a much better feel for Shanny's WCO. Execution should take a huge leap this season.

I anticipate improvement in JG's long ball and Beathard"s short because they will have a more instinctual feel for whose where.

If so, it's going to be hard to stop that machine!

Yeah, it's going to be fun watching this team dominate the league. Can't wait for the season to start.

I am a big Jimmy G fan and like the move, but it isn't trolling to say it was a mistake. That is an opinion.

There are many examples where teams overpaid a QB who looked like the next big thing based on limited action.

the issue is when a guy issues an opinion that runs counter to the mob who think they run this webzone. they are called trolls and the mods. or 99 per cent of them set on their hands. the poster jack loves cj. bless his soul. so for that they want to take him out side and beat the s**t out of him. as they put words in his mouth at the same time

So what we can't question someones opinion? Like I said, if I ran in here a told everyone the world was flat, I'd bet someone would question how the hell I came up with that opinion and what was the motivation behind stating such a outlandish thing.

People get to have opinions, however don't expect people not to criticize, critique, or question the thought process behind it....especially if they're poo pooing on someone else's opinion (or fan base) on the subject just to push their narrative.

Facts to backup and opinion/stance on a subject is an amazing thing, people should use them more

I'm happy because we have JG, and CJ. I think CJ is going to be good.

I had a Chiefs fan do the very same thing. He was like, "they got Garoppolo, dude. Things are going to turn around." I wonder how many real football fans get excited that we got CJ Beathard?

Is it a surprise though? Could it be that Kyle worked his ass off to put both CJ and Jimmy in ideal gameplans where all they had to do was find the open guy? Jimmy's experience allowed him to read the defense and find the open guy better than the rookie.

Could it be that it was because of the play designs and gamplan?
