I fully expect JG to continue to struggle more this TC against our own back 7 on defense. That group has youth, speed, depth and now, two full off seasons in the same system.

Going up against Sherman, Witherspoon, Colbert, Tartt, Williams, Foster and Warner/Smith SHOULD be tough af. And imagine if we added an actual pass rush?

I fully expect some fighting between Garcon, Kittle, Taylor and the rest of the receiving unit with the back 7. It's inevitable.

I'm not bothered over the attacks. People are really insecure here when it comes to Jimmy G.

I think half of what you say makes sense and the other half doesn't, I hope you don't take that as an attack.

Man just look at those horrible throws

I'm happy because we have JG, and CJ. I think CJ is going to be good.

respectable

my hope is that after 3 years being Jimmy's backup and getting schooled from Shanahan, some s**tty teams will come calling for CJ and we'll get a nice draft pick out of it
Wonder if Kyle said the same thing to CJ as he did to Cousins.

Gonna develop you, then trade you to another team.

Wow...this C.J. vs Jimmy stuff is foolish.

We have an apples to apples comparison, same team same season.

C.J. showed incredible toughness, and did indeed throw a good deep ball. I believe his toughness has forever endeared him to the fan base.

The reality is Jimmy is light years a head of CJ in terms of player development.

So, as far as I can tell some fans are argue ing a potential future C.J., who does not as of yet exsist, is better than the current Jimmy G.

Nice existential argument....but in order to win, we have to use the players that exsist in this reality.

Further, some feel we over paid for Jimmy based on the small sample size...that can only be determined in the future...

I am proud to know so many metaphysical philosophers, and futurists.

Sadly I'm stuck in the here and now, and have gotta put my nickle on Jimmy for the win.

I am glad to have C.J. has a back up, and look forward to this amazing future C.J. so many of you have seen in your crystal ball...

So much yes in this post.

Thanks man...I thought this one was solid...but everyone seemed to be ignoring it...I thought maybe the entire thread had slipped through a worm hole to a future I wasn't in...I was nervous!

I can't keep a straight face while saying this.
0-4 then 4-0 ..These guys actually get paid to do this

bias was involved fo sho
I could see us starting 4-4 but 0-4 and 4-0 makes no sense. Losing to the Lions and Chiefs but beating the Rams? Lol
That Vikes game very winnable. That whole team was overrated last year. Best case they go 2-2. Worst case 1-3. Don't think they'll go 0-4. They were a tight team through the 0-9, became a totally different team with Jimmy as the point man.

I can buy his final record of 9-7, but I don't really agree with how he got there. I'm leaning toward a 9-7/10-6 season with 11-5 being my max best record.
