Here's that same play from Mike Shanahan's playbook.

I think Jimmy G is gonna be fine and I don't think it'll be that long before he starts. I think his first start will be after the bye.
would you mind telling me the meaning of the underlined numbers? I assume that they determine the reading order.
what side will be read in the first place? I assume that with the Y receiver because he is the key. but who is the Y receiver in this case?

thanks upfront.

The numbers represent the progressions based on each half of the field... for this play the qb is reading the FS and picking the half of the field to work opposite his reaction post-snap

LOL. I do worry about his frame a little and durability but I think he will be a stud.

Not to bring up a different thread, but instead a topic of conversation, weren't there some criticising that when Deshaun Watson coming out would only make half field reads? What's the difference between that logic and this?

Wow. I'm reading between the lines big time here, but is Arians losing interest?

He's 65 on a team that's probably going to go into a full rebuild next year....I think he knows his window to win one as HC is now closing.

Yep, that's got to be weighing on him.

This play is a full field read! The QB is working the entire field but picking the half of the field away from the strength of the coverage, this half field decision is made post-snap... Half field read would be decided pre-snap based on key defender alignment or coverage which half of the field is going to be worked...

Bruce Arians is one of the better talent evaluators in the league and knows his s**t when it comes to offense. I'm loving his thoughts on Jimmie G.

I kinda dig how Garoppolo took command of the player introduction to the instead of letting Lynch do the introduction....kid has great leadership potential

Yeah Drew Brees and Russell Wilson are awful.
Something nobody is talking about... Who is going to back up CJ this Sunday? With Hoyer being released Garoppolo will have to be that guy. It could get very interesting should CJ go down behind that patch worked O-line.

This is a decent move for us. But the timing is a little seat of the pants.

I hope they hold him out until staley comes back against a soft team so he doesnt get killed right away.

The pats letting him go means they dont see him as the long term solution.

No, no it doesn't mean that at all. They were willing to pay him starter money to sit on the bench but they couldn't give him the one thing he wanted, playing time. It's really not that difficult to grasp.
