You got to respect the game. Brady has won 5 Superbowls and top 2 all time great. Jimmy is a second round bench warmer who hasn't even taken his team to a playoff.

I'm sure he'll be great in the future, but give respect where respect is due.

Pride come before the fall. I hope this dude hasn't lost his marbles.

Arrogant prick?

Lmao

Right... key word is "spun". That doesn't mean WE have to believe it. Read the entire article before speaking on the matter that's all. He's very complementary of Brady. What he says about his confidence amps me up cuz it's EXACTLY WHAT A YOUNG TOM BRADY SAID. Brady thought he could outplay Bledsoe too. Jimmy G got the IT factor. Hope y'all see that.

Did you guys even read the entire thing?? Who doesn't come off as arrogant at all. He just said he was confident in himself. You WANT to hear that from your young starter. Also... way too many of you care about who he's banging. It's his PERSONAL life. Not yours

He's the starting QB of the San Francisco 49ers - everything he does will be scrutinized. Everything.

I hate to say it, but he needs to be more like Alex. That's how he would have handled that question - just take the high road.

I think you're confusing confidence with arrogance. Confidence can be quiet and humble. Its the assurance that you know you have the capability. Arrogance is boastful and proud and at times unfounded. Their is a difference.

Can you imagine if Donte Pettis came in and said "in the back of my mind I know I'm better than Jerry Rice?" Either he's detached from reality or he's had one too many concussions.

If he can back it up, more power to him, but I don't think its a good look and it wont help the team, especially if he struggles.

The bottom line is I don't think he's making smart decisions. Publically plugging washed up porn stars and saying your greater than Tom Brady is not a way to become the face of a legendary franchise.

Can't wait until he ask to wear Joe Montana's number after winning the season opener...

By the way it's coming out, I don't think Jimmy and Tom had the closest relationship. Otherwise, I think Jimmy may have phrased it a different way. Took the high road, possibly.

All that said, I do think we have a legit shot at the Superbowl, baring key injuries. I believe Jimmy will be an All Time Great, especially with Kyle.

You are taking it all out of context. He was talking about when NE drafted him, he went in with the mentality that he was better than Tom and was going to unseat him. He needed that to get better. Like he said, he never said it out loud, and grew up emulating Brady for a reason.

It's refreshing to know that Jimmy wants to be better than Tom
