Did you guys even read the entire thing?? Who doesn't come off as arrogant at all. He just said he was confident in himself. You WANT to hear that from your young starter. Also... way too many of you care about who he's banging. It's his PERSONAL life. Not yours
He's the starting QB of the San Francisco 49ers - everything he does will be scrutinized. Everything.
He's got to know the media sets traps. Anything that can be spun as controversy will be. He should of said something like, "Tom is an all time great. I was very fortunate to learn from him and Billacheat. I knew if I was patient and worked hard I would get my opportunity and now here it is; starting QB for the SF Niners."
I hate to say it, but he needs to be more like Alex. That's how he would have handled that question - just take the high road.
+1 lol

You got to respect the game. Brady has won 5 Superbowls and top 2 all time great. Jimmy is a second round bench warmer who hasn't even taken his team to a playoff.
I'm sure he'll be great in the future, but give respect where respect is due.
Pride come before the fall. I hope this dude hasn't lost his marbles.
Did you read the article?

Exactly...dude told the owner that drafting him was the best decision of his life. He was a 6th round rookie with 3 QBs ahead of him on the depth chart.
It's called confidence. And if people actually read the article instead of getting their panties in a bunch over the headline he specifically said he KNEW Brady was better than him but in his head he kept telling himself he was better because you need that confidence to succeed.

When players talk like a robot and do the politically correct thing, fans are upset.
When players Express themselves and say how they really feel, fans are upset.
It's a lose lose. So you might as well just be yourself lol

It's refreshing to know that Jimmy wants to be better than Tom
I'd be worried if he didn't. Confidence in a quarterback is so incredibly important. You have to be able to throw two picks in a row, shrug it and continue to let it rip.
You have to want to be the best at your position.

If Kyle can draft an elite pass rusher in the neighborhood of a Fred Dean/Haley/Aldon when he was sane - I think Jimmy can tie or exceed Tom's record of super bowl wins. I think Jimmy's more physically talented than Brady in his prime. I think his release is just as quick as Brady and I think his arm is stronger. I may be biased, but what the heck, this is a 49er fanatic site.
Yup, agree, and I'm no homer. Signed, Homerdoc.
When you think about Brady coming into the NFL, and then you look at a pretty polished Qb just starting,...well, it's hard not to think along these lines.
Unh...one other thing...remember it isn't just jimmy, it is Jimmy AND Kyle....big difference. Huge difference. Whatever jimmy's talent is, it is going to be magnified like nobody can imagine with kyle….that is the kicker...and it is a huge one. Brady didn't have that advantage when he came in. Jimmy does.
Agree, and I'm cheating a bit, Jimmy has (I think) two super bowl wins under his belt already so all Jimmy needs to tie Tom is 3 more super bowl wins.
Bellicheat is a good coach, but I think Kyle already *is* the better offensive coach. (I'm just comparing their offensive skillset against each other) not the defensive skillset. I think Kyle has the potential to be a pretty good defensive coach also, and if he can put a credible defense together like the '81, '84, '89' or '90 past level super bowl type defenses - I think 3 super bowls is within reasonable shooting distance.
I think Kyle has several advantages over Bellicheat. He has a father whose won 3 super bowls as a football coach. He has a GM who I think is an underrated GM from the standpoint of defensive knowledge and experience. He's learned the WCO from the best of the best. Now, if Jed has learned his lessons under Haarbalke, Kyle will (I hope) have the level of support that Kraft has given Bellicheat.

Although I must say Giselle is still much classier and appealing than a 2nd-rate porn slut.
Maybe more appealing to you

All that said, I do think we have a legit shot at the Superbowl, baring key injuries. I believe Jimmy will be an All Time Great, especially with Kyle.
