To be fair when I've noticed the pash rush pressure it seems too occur mostly against the left guard and center. But it could be that they expect run to come to the left side more often so they stack more to the left, i.e. Fusco will get the easier assignment so he looks better statistically.

Can we assume your wife feels the same?

Does he cover that in the film thread?

what about his hands?

What's up with his hands ?

he has small hands. did you know that?

Considering that one of the front runners for MVP this year is also known for having small hands, this doesn't concern me.

45 completion % last game. slowly dwindling away.

Still on pace for 4,000+ yards, 32 tds and 0 ints this season.

Incorrect on Fusco. PFF ranks him as the 12th best run blocking G in football this year. Overall hes ranked 25th. Not bad at all. We really just have 2 weak spots in the middle, but thats the norm in the NFL today. Were lucky to have 2 good T. Our OL, when healthy, is actually a solid group.

I agree.

Fusco has played quite well. He was good for Minnesota as well. The right side of our line is the last of our worries. I'd like Fusco back on a 2 year deal.

Kilgore and Tomlinson have been brutal. They aren't even backup level players. If I was Lynch I'd be signing Andrew Norwell away from Carolina and making him a top 3 paid guard. He is that good. Josh Garnett is apparently in the team's plans as well. I'd like him to compete with Brandon Fusco at RG.

As for center, I'd be making Baltimore's Ryan Jensen a top paid center. He is a stud. Guys like Tennessee's Brian Schwenke, Giants Weston Richburg and Jets Wesley Johnson are no better than Kilgore. Arkansas Frank Ragnow is probably the best college center but I'm not sure we want him starting.

I'd also be using one of our 3rd's on a tackle to be a backup and eventual replacement for Staley.

Beadles and Tomlinson should be cut. Kilgore and Gilliam should not be brought back.

LT- Joe Staley / rookie 3rd round
LG- Andrew Norwell / Erik Magnuson
C- Ryan Jensen
RG- Brandon Fusco / Josh Garnett
RT- Trent Brown

That is a nice looking Oline.

Fusco's strength is run blocking.

You can look up QB Hurries, Hits or Sacks given up to get a general Idea but truth is it's interpretation or what you see yourself, all-22 is a great tool for this from NFL.com.

PFF is flawed because they don't take scheme and assignment into consideration specific to what teams run and PFF can be completely wrong about who the guilty is in a play because of their own interpretation using what I assume is the same all-22 film that is available to you too. I'm also not the only one saying this about PFF...you will find other posters here can attest and you can find a consistent group of professionals in the sport that will say essentially the same thing. PFF is I think a great tool for reporters that are either too lazy or don't have knowledge of the game to help them cheat or find fill in material. Just my opinion...

Using PFF evaluations for OL is a bad idea. Easily their worst evaluations are on the OL. When a defender comes through untouched due to a missed block they don't penalize the offending lineman...that's pretty damn awful. I understand they can't make the call on who actually had the block based on scheme watching it but it's still a glaring omission.

Exactly if he was so good and valuable he wouldn't have settled for us on a 1 year deal in FA. Fusco is a backup caliber player, only playing b/c the starter (Garnett) is out.
Just listened to yesterday's Mike and Mike...Golic basically said that going from Garoppolo to Hoyer as a backup is a wash in NE and that all these quarterbacks are getting overpaid enormously only based on potential. Golic can suck my balls.

It definitely feels like the Pats could've gotten more for Garoppolo, but Belichick knows hes gone when Brady retires, so he wanted to send a respected guy like JG to a good situation.

lol since when are we a good situation? I'm sure he didn't want to send Jimmy to an AFC rival and it sounds like he was still bitter at Cleveland but Belichick is not sentimental. He would've taken the most he could get but i'm sure in his head sending Jimmy to Kyle and the NFC and possibly getting #34 instead of #33 is better than sending him to an AFC team and the craziness and cluster fuk that is Cleveland.

BB probaly respects Shanahan and Lynch. BB has traded diferently due to sentimentality in the past. When Cassel went to KC, there was at least one team that was pissed about what he was traded for, claiming that they offered NE more than KC ended up giving, but BB was squaring away his guys Pioli and Crennel (I think I got all of that right). Of course, in squaring them away he screwed them and stuck them with a robot.

Four dropped passes and four thrown away to avoid a sack also impacts those numbers.
