Our OL has been brutal. Staley isnt close to being the player he was. He is obviously on the decline. Beadles should be out of the league and Kilgore just has not played well at all. Brown is the only guy on this line that anyone should feel good about moving forward. Maybe Garnett but time will tell with him.

The Niners need 1 OT, 1 OG, and a C. My hope is they can move down in the draft and select either of the Notre Dame lineman and sign Weston Richburg in free agency.

Can we assume your wife feels the same?

or husband, w/e way th swings.

Does he cover that in the film thread?

please refrain from turning this into a 24/7 thread.

Thank you.

You can look up QB Hurries, Hits or Sacks given up to get a general Idea but truth is it's interpretation or what you see yourself, all-22 is a great tool for this from NFL.com.

PFF is flawed because they don't take scheme and assignment into consideration specific to what teams run and PFF can be completely wrong about who the guilty is in a play because of their own interpretation using what I assume is the same all-22 film that is available to you too. I'm also not the only one saying this about PFF...you will find other posters here can attest and you can find a consistent group of professionals in the sport that will say essentially the same thing. PFF is I think a great tool for reporters that are either too lazy or don't have knowledge of the game to help them cheat or find fill in material. Just my opinion...

The 26 NFL teams who subscribe to their service disagree with you that its just a "lazy reporters tool".

Cris Collinsworth runs PFF, and has explained the grading system and credibility of the trained people he hires to scout and grade each play.

Like I always say, there isnt a better or more credible grading system out there, so the people knocking it dont have any proof against it. Even if you do personally scout every player on every play for the 49ers on All 22 film, why should I trust you over PFF?

Obviously only the coaches know the assignments on their own plays, but unless we get the coaches to publish their own grades each week (sarcasm), PFF is the best we have.

PFF is fine. Problem is people just see a number and freak out because its not what they were expecting. Yet are perfectly okay taking a QB rating as gospel.
Media needs to get a pic of his hand up against Buckner's.

f**k Golic he's blowing hot air.

Golic is a dummy, Hoyer is a great backup and can win you a couple games with that team...he's not gonna win you playoff games and a SB if tommy gets hurt. Jimmy G just might be able to do that.

Golic also hates QB and is a defensive guy clearly....a lot of bias crap coming out of that mouth lol.
Don't really feel like quoting but I'll join in on the O-line argument. During preseason and the early part of the season, I thought our pass pro looked damn good and our run block looked meh. With all the injuries it looks like our run game looks better while our pass pro looks like Seattle's. that reason is Brown getting hurt and Staley regressing IMO. But I think jimmy will be fine, his highlights show damn good pocket presence and he can slide around to avoid getting hit.

Garoppolo has 9 1/4 inch hands. Tony Romo's hands were only 8 7/8 inches. He did fine. As long as Garoppolo isnt the holder.

I like to use PFF but it isn't the end all be all on if a player is good or the best player at their position imo.

I remember when PFF had Derick Carr as the 32nd ranked qb in 2014 which imho wasn't true.

That was wrong. That has become an urban legend of sorts when people bring up QBs with smaller hands. A bunch of sites still list that number and nobody really knows it started but Romo's hands were like 9 1/2" at his Pro Day.

Richburg would be an improvement over Kilgore (#14 versus #30 PFF), however, his rating has dropped out of the top 5 this year. Don't know if injuries may have hurt him.
I'm so happy
Somewhat on topic...but I loved this back when Garoppolo was first starting

PFF's ratings are season-long. Toward the end of 2014, Carr was trending up.
