That was wrong. That has become an urban legend of sorts when people bring up QBs with smaller hands. A bunch of sites still list that number and nobody really knows it started but Romo's hands were like 9 1/2" at his Pro Day.
Alex Smith has tiny Trump hands and he's f'n ballin' like a mother f**ker right now so who cares about hand size.

Haha, I know but it would look hilarious up against Buckner's 11 3/4 hand.

Brown is the only guy on this line that anyone should feel good about moving forward. Maybe Garnett but time will tell with him.
The Niners need 1 OT, 1 OG, and a C. My hope is they can move down in the draft and select either of the Notre Dame lineman and sign Weston Richburg in free agency.
Richburg would be an improvement over Kilgore (#14 versus #30 PFF), however, his rating has dropped out of the top 5 this year. Don't know if injuries may have hurt him.
Richburg is very injury prone. He seems to always be dinged up ala Iupati.

You can look up QB Hurries, Hits or Sacks given up to get a general Idea but truth is it's interpretation or what you see yourself, all-22 is a great tool for this from NFL.com.
PFF is flawed because they don't take scheme and assignment into consideration specific to what teams run and PFF can be completely wrong about who the guilty is in a play because of their own interpretation using what I assume is the same all-22 film that is available to you too. I'm also not the only one saying this about PFF...you will find other posters here can attest and you can find a consistent group of professionals in the sport that will say essentially the same thing. PFF is I think a great tool for reporters that are either too lazy or don't have knowledge of the game to help them cheat or find fill in material. Just my opinion...
PFF is fine. Problem is people just see a number and freak out because its not what they were expecting. Yet are perfectly okay taking a QB rating as gospel.
I like to use PFF but it isn't the end all be all on if a player is good or the best player at their position imo.
I remember when PFF had Derick Carr as the 32nd ranked qb in 2014 which imho wasn't true.
I don't have PFF but I like when they post obscure stats related to how they chart things. For example, "this team has a 4.2 yards per rush when running to the left side while in 12 personnel". They got a bunch of cool stuff in that area. But the player ratings are extremely flawed. Who do you think had a better game? The OT that blocked Von Miller all game and got a 70 rating, or the guy that blocked Eli Harold all game and got a 90 rating? Exactly.

FWIW: Just because Carr is now a top QB doesn't mean in 2014 he was a top QB. He had a 76.6 QB rating with 22 INT/Fumbles while completing less then 60% of his passes & Oakland went 3-13.

Fusco is awful. He was bad in Minnesota and has been worse with the 49ers. Just looking through the film each week and how often he screws up is more than enough to want to move on from him as well as Kilgore who has hit his ceiling and it isnt as an NFL starter.

We need a ton of help on the OL. It's time to consider moving our best pass protector to LT and our aging LT to right and draft a top T to have Staley start grooming. Interior has to be free agency at this point with Garnett competing.

Even still, Russell Wilson has giant hands, and fumbles more than most QB's. Ryan Mallett and Mark Sanchez have almost 11 inch hands, and they blow. Philip Rivers' hands are the same size are JG's, and Derek Carr's are smaller than JG's. Its doesn't really matter.

Nah, he'd look happier than that. Probably a 17 yr old.

I think we should be awfully concerned about the fact that Belichick was willing to trade him, and for only a 2nd round pick, when he used a 2nd rounder to draft him to begin with.
Belichick does not lose on trades. He knows how to make it so that all his coaches and players would fail anywhere else. He teaches them to fail without him, and they don't realize it. He's the greatest chess player of all time.
He makes it so his players can't succeed outside the Patriots' gimmick offensive and defensive systems, and he makes it so his coaches have no idea how to implement what he does anywhere else. The man is a twisted genius. Last year's Patriots team was the least talented roster in the NFL, and he made them 17-2 and Super Bowl champions.
The NFL runs through Belichick. You have a chance to win when he decides he's going to give you a chance to win. Our only hope is that Belichick just felt bad about letting Jimmy's career go to waste backing up Brady for another 5 years. Otherwise, we're going to see Jed talking about "accountability" and how he wants to "compete to with Shuper Bowlsh" after a couple firings in another 3-4 years.
