Detriot game, Find out our team cant handle a soft haymaker from a homeless person. Saved by refs. We came out with a W, but 99.9 % of the population knew we didn't deserve that win.
I expect top talent qb this coming year, not derek carr type plays.
Overreaction much?
How many drops did the offense have on great passes from Jimmy? How much help did he have when 2 RGs went out and McGlinchey went inside which he's never done against one of the top defenses in the league(we played them before the heart of their D went crazy)
Detroit game we won, simple as that. Detroit also CRUSHED the Patriots, how did they end up doing? And 99.9% of the population we didn't deserve the win where we were up 30 to 13 with under 12 minutes to play in the game?
Look at the whole picture...

is it really an overreaction to expect our high paid qb to play at a high level?
the offense did have drops, such as jimmy g overthrowing some.... like I said blame both... 1 of the top defenses based on last year, like how we expect jimmy to play how he ended the season winning 5. If you rate Minny to play top defense based on last year then can we not expect jimmy to play like last year as well? or are we picking what helps our post? the det vs pats game was like 26-10 not really CRUSHED... but if you say so..... up 30-13 with 12 mins to play.. why i pointed out us not able to handle a soft haymaker.....
look at the right picture first.

It is a total overreaction when you make statements like 99.9% of the people thought we shouldn't have won that game yes.
And drops like the one to a wide open Kittle for likely a TD? Or at worst a huge play? Following play I think it was Bourne running the wrong route and it's a pick deep in our zone. 1 drop - huge swing in the game.
And you realize teams change over the course of a season right?
Week 1 the bulk of a roster is healthy. Everson Griffin didn't lose his mind until after our game. They lost some other guys over the season while having to play most of the top offenses in the league last year save KC and still finished 9th in points and 4th in yards allowed. I'd say that's a pretty darn good D. But would I expect them to play the same if they lost Griffin in a game? Then his backup got hurt and they lost say Harrison Smith? No...

Okay lets be more realistic 90%...Majority reactions feeling that way and 49ers fans like us even feeling that win was a loss. If majority reactions is overreaction then I guess everyone was overreacting.
Just proves what I said, blame both... not one or the other.
Obviously.
Now back to what this all started from.
Jimmy had a chance to win in Minnie. Defense gave up stuff, Jimmy over threw stuff, Defense had some stops, Jimmy threw some footballs.
Detriot game was brutal to our confidence.
I expect better from Jimmy G this year.

I agree with your last point. Let's leave it at that.

Jimmy is no spring chicken and doesn't have much experience. This year is crucial, he needs to play lights out.

Jimmy did have a bad couple of games to start the season last year. He didn't continue his lights out play of '17. I fully expect him to rebound, but it did show what Jimmy looks like when he's not on.

He's pretty secure at the position - he just needs to stay healthy and he'll be fine.

I'm confident Jimmy will do just that.
My twin brother is a Bears Fan and he is in denial. A lot of bears fans they think average to above average quarterback play is great because they have never had a good quarterback basically in their whole history. Mitch cannot throw accurately he makes some good plays with his feet but his accuracy and touch are horrible. I'm glad the Bears got him that is one less team we have to worry about

You can't cite Vikings miscues as a reason for them to dominate and omit our own.
Yeah and fumbling at the 1 yard line with a fourth string running back not to mention the line had back ups and Mike M playing at guard aside from missed opportunities, I mean come on. That game was easily winnable. We gifted the vikes that game

I don't know why people are conveniently forgetting that Detroit did not score that was not a pick six they brought the ball down to what the 7 yard line? They still had to score a touchdown.
Not to mention the Niners still had two timeouts and I believe the two minute warning so Jimmy could've easily moved down the field and scored. He has done it with a lot less help and against a lot better defenses.
Those of you are being very shortsighted by saying the game was over with the refs helping us out. We still had a chance given that Detroit would've scored which they may not have. Jimmy was lighting them up all day under constant pressure with no help.

He should be fine.
