Pass rush will help. Plus, we weren't blown out of a bunch of games even with CJ starting. The Goodwin-Jimmy connection was stellar when they were both healthy. Kittles, Pettis should grow and was getting pretty darn good near the end of the year. Jet, Juice and Coleman will all be receiving threats and the D is getting a HUGE upgrade in pass rush.

If we can manage to NOT have 7 different starting safety combos that might also help as well.

you get me a honest to good safety. you get me another edge rusher. find a cb to help sherman out. you tell me the team tackles better, you get me a serious upgrade with the guards on the o line. you tell me that for the first time in forever the team will pass protect. if someone steps up in the wide out department. if jimmy stays healthy and does not play poorly which i think he was before he got hurt. 9 wins. but 7 8 is what i see. we also gave the moron dc different and i hope better players so lets see what happens there

I've been hearing this, "we need an upgrade at safety" thing all off-season long. My question is, what do y'all want, specifically? Like, for real. Don't say, "a difference maker" or "someone better". No, like, a guy with smoother hips to cover posts, better at man-coverage, more disciplined, what?

Can you point out how many games we lost because of our FS? What they did wrong?

Cossell and Grant are not equal in their analysis. One does his homework. I'm no expert but watching film gives you a better understanding of things that watching TV won't show. I'm talking about scheme and game planning.

In all seriousness info apologize if I was coming off snarky or arrogant. It was an honest question though. It was hard for me to see a game we lost because of bad safety play by AC.

We lost the chargers game after giving up 2 punt returns for like 150 yards and CJ gad several turnovers, one deep in our own territory.

Even the game against the cards where AC gave up the 75 yard TD the defense didn't give up any more points if I remember right. CJ had a fumble returned for a TD and then threw a couple picks and we still only gave up 17 points. More than adequate to beat them.
