Mullins is a reasonable stop gap QB, and just give Jimmy a defense that can stop passers and you will have a healthy Jimmy by the end of the year. for sure!!

Having said that, Kyle's impressive in finding not one, but two good QB's that can operate his system in Jimmy and Mullins, and I have total confidence that if he had to start a franchise QB hunt again from the beginning -- out of all 32 head coaches in the NFL, he's the one (besides Bill Bellicheat) that has the best chance to find another franchise QB vs anybody else.

Yes. If he gets hurt again, he is just another injury prone guy.

Anyway, if he gets hurt, we will probably lose and go 3-13 or something. It might be a good idea to draft a top quarterback next year

Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson had excellents season after their knee injuries last year.
Brady played his best football after his ACL tear 10 years ago.
It's up to Garoppolo to be professional and do his rehab the best way possible.
He's a pocket passer anyways. I' m just a little bit concern for his scramble game and his ability to extend the plays.

Not sure how anyone could be "not worried in the slightest" when JG hasn't ever even played a half season of football (NFL) without being hurt with season ending injuries. If anything, everyone should be overly worried that he hasn't shown the ability to avoid injury and then combine that with with onslaught of INTs over his past several games and there's more than just a little reason for concern.

Not saying he's done by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd be far from shocked if he doesn't play all 16 games this season.
It's time for Mr. Jimmy G to earn his money, make or break year. The training wheels officially come off. If he is set to become this legendary QB we all have lead to believe it happens this year, Get him a new WR & TE in the draft N there really shouldn't be any excuses for him for to be become that household name this Season.

With a much stronger run game (we've added depth at that position) and a stronger defense (read bosa) and we have Mullens to step in when the game is out of our control, he should stay healthy. There is no guarantee, of course, but this team should be more talented this year - which makes playing QB a lot easier. And should be safer too.

Let's not spread false narratives here. He only had 1 season-ending injury, a freak injury that has happened to many players. He was doing just fine the previous 7 games taking shots left and right due to the spotty o-line play. Nobody was calling him "injury-prone" then.

False narrative?

He has never played a full season. True or false?

He has been injured and not finished the season in which he started more than once. True or false?

He has never played a full season with all of his starts and games finished combined. True or false?

He has had two different kinds of season ending injuries in seasons in which he did not complete. True or false?

Let's be clear, while JG has shown to have tremendous talent, he has yet to show consistency and the ability to finish an entire season healthy.

BTW, what has been done to protect him better than he was protected last year?
