Why?

If Murray makes it to week 11 uninjured, he will have had a longer playing career than Jimmy has to this point, and hes been in the league 5 years.

You'll understand this year

I'm pretty sure he's trolling. Must be a ghost town on the Cardinals forums.

Maybe, but there are enough of our fans who doubt him as well, just watch.

That stretch at the end of the '17 season is as good as any have played, now we're better and he'll be better.

Can't really blame some people's skepticism, as good as that stretch was, it didn't last very long and it was on a descending projection.

How about you go read the breakdown of that contract before coming in here acting like it was a $137 million dollar deal

He got $48 million of guaranteed money. His cap hit this yr is $19 million and if he plays like dogs**t they can move off him with a relatively small dead money hit.

If he balls out he get that cash and SF has him under contract thru 2022 on an decent contract based on how QBs are getting paid.

if he doesn't he basically got tagged for two yrs and they move on.

If I'm a cards fan I wouldn't be talking about QBs lol.....ya'll got Murray and Isabella for the #1 pick, the 10th overall pick, a 3rd/5th, and the 62nd pick

I mean the way that contract is broken down it was basically like tagging him in 2018 and 2019 (might actually be less).

They can cut him after this yr and not have a big dead money hit.
I don't see jimmy struggling this year. Sure his line isn't top notch but with the weapons and Kyle scheming guys open, it should be a fun year.

JG can also get rid of that ball quick.

I'm happy with the contract. It felt like a fortune at the time, but now after seeing what Wilson got and what the new contracts are going to demand, it's a good deal.
Even if JG isn't Brady, Brees, or Rogers, that's fine too, I just want him to be consistently top 10 (top 5-7 range would be awesome) and also stay healthy.
That's going to require management and coaching staff to make sure they're doing everything they can to keep him healthy. I get that his latest injury wasn't a typical injury, but unfortunately that doesn't matter. If he's not suited up for 16-19 games every season, then he's not living up to his contract and worse, we won't be winning as many games.

Word

He was a 4 yr starter in college didn't miss any games...shows you injuries can happen to anyone regardless of genetics and s**t. It's a violent sport.

I will say things like concussions and hamstring injuries kinda worry me more. Those are things that are reoccurring and it's not like you can just have surgery and you're good to go.

True for us. Kurt Warner was pretty darn good for them, though.

Only for a couple of seasons, but he was a stud during those seasons. I liked Kurt Warner.

But if jimmy stays healthy, I think he will ball because he has now been in the offense for almost 2 years. He has had a lot of time to study it and time with Shanahan sr to learn other stuff. So.. I expect a lot out of him.

He certainly should have many more quick passing options in Pettis, Deebo, Hurd/Kittle and with Juice, Breida, McKinnon and Coleman coming out of the backfield.

Cardinals have a lot of problems, one of them will be the inexperience of Kliff. Kurt Warner and Nick Mullens have had a similar trajectory- and unfortunately for them thats the best the Cardinals could do.

Well see how that air raid offense translates into the NFL, but I think it's going to fall flat on its face. Its going to be really funny when the Cardinals fire Kliff and Keim and start all over again next year.

He also has a healthy pierre Garcon 2.0 in Deebo. And a lot more weapons and a much more sturdy OLine than he had in 2017. Also Jimmy has a pass rush to close out games. Its going to be interesting how the season unfolds, but I think Kyle has the depth and the talent to possibly reach the playoffs if things fall out way from a luck standpoint.

We shall see.
