Would you be upset if you came home and your girlfriend or wife was banging Jimmy G?
I would put on my apron and ask Jimmy what toppings he wants on his pancakes and make sure the wifey stays hydrated.

This sir is the correct answer.

Funny how we have two extremes on Jimmy G:

"He ain't better than Mullens..........injury proneeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!"

"If he wanted to bang my wife, I'd do everything in my power to enable it and keep both of them happy"

Damn Niners fans

what if he swings the other way.

I'm confident he can play 16 games. At least Jimmy's injury wasn't like Drew Brees' labrum tear injury, where there was genuine concern whether he'd ever even be able to throw normally again.

There are folks who are replacing *both* knees and the next year, after rehab are back to playing racquet ball.

Does Jimmy's upper body look bigger or is it just me?

Just to be clear Bleeds is only wearing the apron and nothing else.

True for us. Kurt Warner was pretty darn good for them, though.

Only for a couple of seasons, but he was a stud during those seasons. I liked Kurt Warner.

But if jimmy stays healthy, I think he will ball because he has now been in the offense for almost 2 years. He has had a lot of time to study it and time with Shanahan sr to learn other stuff. So.. I expect a lot out of him.

Same here. I think he's going to come out like gangbusters. Kyle has a whole offseason to prepare his offense for the 2019 season. A lot of the pieces are brand new, Deebo and Hurd, but a lot of the offense has been there for a while, Brieda, Goodwin, and Kittle. So I think it's going to be decent at the get go, and then towards the end of the season, it's going to start clicking and really becoming a formidable offense to stop.

I'm happy with the contract. It felt like a fortune at the time, but now after seeing what Wilson got and what the new contracts are going to demand, it's a good deal.
Even if JG isn't Brady, Brees, or Rogers, that's fine too, I just want him to be consistently top 10 (top 5-7 range would be awesome) and also stay healthy.
That's going to require management and coaching staff to make sure they're doing everything they can to keep him healthy. I get that his latest injury wasn't a typical injury, but unfortunately that doesn't matter. If he's not suited up for 16-19 games every season, then he's not living up to his contract and worse, we won't be winning as many games.

Word

He was a 4 yr starter in college didn't miss any games...shows you injuries can happen to anyone regardless of genetics and s**t. It's a violent sport.

I will say things like concussions and hamstring injuries kinda worry me more. Those are things that are reoccurring and it's not like you can just have surgery and you're good to go.

Agree, and Brees was able to overcome a rotator cuff injury and have a wonderful career. An injury that directly relates to throwing and could have ended his career.

Having said that, I think the knee he injured is his plant foot, so he really can't afford to get any more serious knee injuries in that area. So, I fully expect next year to see ShanaLynch to invest in the OLine to some extent next year to make sure that the interior line can hold up against all the middle pass rushers in the NFC west.

wow

Ok let's get this straight.

Would I put my body on the line for jimmy if he asked? Yes.

Am I out here just begging him to let me? Also yes
This year had better be brilliant.
When Shanny went to Falcons, QB Matt was iffy the first season, MVP the second.
Jimmy has had a whole (virtually) year to sit without pressure to get his head around the playbook. Now he needs to make it happen.
If the oline keep him upright, he had better make the right decisions on a regular basis.

Injuries to some WR's played a part in the three lackluster games he had last year before being Ir'ed. This year the WR deph, on paper looks deep. I think even with some of the lesser talent on the roster- it will be better than last year, as long as at least two WR starters don't get injured.
Jimmy too dreamy. I had a hard time following the interview

I anticipate success right out of the gate. But like fine wine, it will need to age for the full bouquet. It will take some time for him to get in sync with the new guys.

Football is fun again!
Didn't even know it was up for debate whether or not he would be ready for the opener
