50% of the homers are optimist, nothing wrong with that.
50% of the trolls are realist, nothing wrong with that.
A small portion of both are either delusional or pessimist, then the rest are just "insert insult".

Don't worry. You're considered a troll on the webzone if you have a different opinion than the rest of the board. Don't feed the homers and you'll be fine.
(btw, i agree with you wholeheartedly.)
Now you just need Sus and itll be a party.
The hilarity of a troll telling another troll not to "feed the homers".
Agree. This is basically a board *for* Homers
Well, predominately I think it is a board for supporters of the team Those who come here to troll or crow when things go badly eventually exceed their welcome and get banned.
It is a rather pathetic pastime, to troll the board of a team you dont support. Some people have nothing better to do.

I just hope by the end of his time with the Niners we aren't calling him Jimmy Floppolo.

The jury is still out on JG in this O, imo. He is a NE O qb.One of the most gifted arm talents in the league but worried that he won't get out of that gunslinger mentality, consistently enough to run this this efficiently. No excuses this year with all of these weapons. With patience in the pocket this O should be hard to stop.

Jimmy has had a whole (virtually) year to sit without pressure to get his head around the playbook. Now he needs to make it happen.
If the oline keep him upright, he had better make the right decisions on a regular basis.
did you forget the part where Jimmy G came in midseason his first season and played like 3-4 weeks after with that same playbook? and excelled?? Lol
did you also forget he was forced to sit because he tore his ACL? your post makes absolutely 0 sense

If were facing Donald, sure. However it should be good enough for now.

People recover from the same type of injury at different speeds and there are also differences in the severity of the injury so I'm not concerned that it's taking him longer. That said, I'm still not convinced 100% that he's going to be the guy that takes us to the SB. I like what I've seen but I just haven't seen enough. Hopefully he gets to play a full season this year and we can form a better opinion.
Alex/Kap took us to the Super Bowl.
I'm sure on a properly constructed team, Jimmy has the goods to do so as well.
His floor is pretty high.
His ceiling is what we can question all day until he proves it out.
Alex never took us to the super bowl. Kap did lol

no matter what, good play or bad play, Jimmy NEEDS a full 16-game season under his belt. how many years has he been in the league now? even if he has an average year, I want a full season.

I agree that he needs to show what he can do in a full year but he never got a real chance until he came to SF. He filled in briefly for Brady but there was no way he was going to replace him. He finally gets his chance and he tears his ACL in kind of a freak way. I'm not ready to call him injury prone but he does need to play a full year and develop a relationship with his receivers. The O line needs to play a full year together too since they need to get a feel for how Jimmy moves in the pocket. This is an often overlooked part of QB's getting sacked. When the line has that feel they almost instinctively know which way he's rolling and when the ball is coming out. Montana and his line had it just like Brady and his line does now.

His 2017 run was enough for me. And here's why:
- Jimmy didn't know the full playbook and was improvising and still was wildly successful.
- His lightning quick release. He doesn't have any major weaknesses with his mechanics.
- He wasn't running a gimmicky offense like Harbaugh had with Kap. There's nothing to "figure out". You beat him by outscheming Shanahan and hitting him.
- He's a natural leader. Kap, for example, wasn't a leader. He was a black kid raised by white parents and had an identity crisis. We don't have to worry about anything other than Jimmy banging the occasional porn star. You can't hate on a guy for loving big teddies.
- Jimmy has a better defense this year than he's ever had and a better supporting cast than he had in 2017/2018.
If we fail next season, it won't be because of Jimmy.
