I thought Kyle said he's definitely playing in games 2 & 3?

He said depending on the health of the OL.

I can see one series, at least, if the OLine has good health. NC's right - he's had enough intra-scrimmage practice with Denver to really not have him play significant amounts in games 2 and 3. When I say significant, I mean more than one or two series of drives. Personally I'd have this Monday night game be it for Jimmy and I'd shut him down till the regular season begins. One reason is I'd want to make sure Mullens gets enough pre-season reps because he'll not have a lot once the regular season starts, and two, I'd want to showcase BeatHard and get some trade value for some OLine help.

He did say he'd get some work but it really depended on the OL and a number of factors. He'll probably get a series or two at most IMHO. But I wouldn't even give him a series if Garland and Toran were starting. But that's just me.

I think one series given the circumstances is plenty. You still see a lot of teams keeping guys out of week 2 games. Pats and Rams to name two and those teams were in the SB.

Jimmy needs to shake some rust off before week 1 but not at the cost of risking injury for the regular season. Denver DL is no joke.

Playcalling of course can alleviate some potential issues - pass early and off PA. Try to stay out of 3rd and long or run in those situations just to be safe. I wouldn't have an issue handing off vs giving Chubb and Miller an obvious pass rush opportunity in a game that means squat.

My thoughts exactly.

Overstated analysis.
He's a student of masters but has not proven himself to be a warrior.
He's only shown he's been afforded the tools to fight.
I wish him the best.
Go Niners.

Probably better to see what his values and character are before elevating him to God-like status.

Right now, he's more of a Shaolin practicer. Let's see how he does when he's back on the field (for real).

I'd add that JG also studied Tom Brady very closely for years.

He hasn't proven himself to be a warrior yet, but that five game stretch in 2017 showed that he at least seems to have the potential to be very good warrior. Hopefully most of the integrating is deep enough into his thought patterns that his processing of what is happening and deciding on what to do are fluid - that he doesn't get too slogged down in still trying to put it all together. I like to think he won't get slogged down, but who knows. We are just gonna find out as the season unfolds. Part of the fun.

Trained by one Great Grand Master and two Grand Masters. JG is a warrior, but we can't say an elite one quite yet.

If we compare his longevity (experience in games) and/or durability...more like that Catholic school boy who walked around with a basket collecting monies from church goers during Sunday mass. Collect that money, son

JG hasn't made it through a 16 game season as a starter yet.

I hope this year is different.

Can team make playoffs with Mullen's?

Need answers.
